Can somebody finally answer my questions? Its very hard for me to find any designers.I always find coders hackers but no good designers why? When i hire new workers i always got the same ones. How can i get the monkeyman and the bear? Is there a way to change the design of my own console? I have done already 3 consoles and they all look the same.
I bought this game at 1 and started playing and now it's freaking 6AM and I'm still here playing it. What is wrong with me... Now all I have to figure out is getting a hardware engineer so I can make consoles!
i discovered that the masked man does the same as steve jobs his character. when he writes a proposal everything gets doubled, when its a sequel. same goes for the oil sheikh.
hire one. not by word of mouth or mag ad.. do an open house or hollywood connect (or whatever more expensive)
Just developed my second game with with over 1 million units. - Pop Star - Online RPG How many people do you guys have at the Gamedex? I'm o my 11 th year and i have 40,012 people
Nice lol I should stop developing with the PC. 14 titles with PC lol. Imma get that new mobile thing.
Just finished my first 20 years, it was pretty fun, got to publish my own console on the 18th year... took me a while to figure out how to get a hardware engineer... Anyone could explain the differences between Designer, producer, coder, writer, hacker? Is it only their stats? Also what stats affect creativity and what stats are taken in consideration when writing a proposal? I hope the developpers will add some new content (design, options, customization, type of employees, different conferences etc.) in the future. It such a great game!
You don't need a good designer, per se. You need someone with a high Art skill, and they'll start showing up the more you pay to Hire, i.e. Hollywood Agent. If you have someone like that, look at their Employment History under Info-->Staff. Pick the Employee and scroll down. It will list all the jobs in which they're currently trained and at what level. If you have someone with a high Art Skill but isn't a designer, you can always purchase a job change from the travelling salesman. However, by about the mid-game, you should be concentrating on Directors and Hackers who have already been trained and leveled in multiple jobs, not specialists. A mix of those two plus one or two hardware engineers (if you want to make consoles) and you're set. In fact, you'll have a hard time spending the money as every game starts to sell 30 million + units.
Seems interesting, but not sure if I'd really like it... Don't hate me for saying this, but I'll wait for a sale. Wish there was a Lite version.
It's hard work actually. Lets say you have a Sound engineer. To turn him into a hardware engineer, you have to level him to lvl5, and then change his job to something different and then level him up to 5 again and then change his job again. Keep doing this until you unlock hardware engineer. I don't know when it actually unlocks but that's how I unlocked mine. I was able to get my console in the 15th year.
That's because it's actually a port of an old cell game, I believe. They didn't update it for the i-device screen format. Again, I wish there was a Lite version.
