What exactly is a "Sim RPG"? Like, a simulation RPG? Or something else? I don't want to invest $600 just to find out the combination I picked sucks.
For first question: You get a new office with 6 dev at beginning of year 3 or 4 (I forgot) when you have enough money ie 600$ but the game probably requires you have a bit more like 1M. You get another and last new office with 8 dev at beginning of year 6 once you you have enough money ie 2M, but the game perhaps requires you have a bit more like 2.5M For second question, what you mean by level? The office level? You need look you office and see the dev free places, 4, 6 and 8. And with the office with 8 dev places you have also 2 secretaries (but it's same functions than one secretary). There are many game types that are unclear for me and some game genres too. To manage this you can "cheat" a little to compensate the lack of doc, before to start your project, save, then start the game development and at end of writing phase the team will tell you if it's a not good mix. The you can relaunch the game, select continue and then choose the manual save instead of the auto save. But even if the mix is bad you can sell well the game anyway. This point is one of the typical lack of polishing in this game. The game would have been so much more cool if it had a little encyclopedia explaining each game type and genre, with a true example or a fake one if no classical game used the categories. I have started a new game so don't have yet a full list but for example I have only guess about those game genres: Life (The Sims? or Spore? There's the Life game but I doubt it's related) Trivia (Games with questions? I wonder what type used with that) Table (Port of physical board games?) RPG Sim (Majesty? Game Dev Story? I had success with Fantasy and Robot types) And I wonder what are those game types, even if I used some of them successfully anyway: Game Co. Art Bookstore Cartoon Marathon Dating (Got a good result with Sim Dating) And more I don't remember
I don't understand how to get hardware engineer because of my bad english. I have now everybody level 5.. Because I didn't understand at all. If I have already those 4 level 5 then I'll use those what I get from saleman and what and what what what. Anyone can take pics or is there any video of how to do this?
I played the lite version and was instantly addicted. It's pretty fun. I'm waiting for a sale since $4 is a bit much (to me) for an iPhone game with simplistic graphics.
Around month 5 of every year, a traveling salesman will come into your office. He sells Career Change Manuals (among other things). You will need 7 of them. Use one on any one of your employees and turn him/her into a coder and level him/her up to level 5. Then use another on the same employee to turn him/her into a writer, and level him/her up to level 5 again. Keep repeating the process until he/she is a level 5 Producer. If you try to use another Career Change Manual, you can turn him/her into a Hardware Engineer.
Yeah good point - screw the gameplay; we want purdy pikchers ;-) IMO this is worth the $4 *easily*. Not often a game just nails the mechanics like this does... Jamie
What is the last console? I'm guessing the Play Popo X, but you never know. EDIT: Yes, it is the Play Popo X, because the game "ends" at 20 years.
The interface and even some design details aren't polished but it's also overall quite well done and the gameplay is very interesting. I understand some people could not like but I also agree it worth easily its $4 because of its originality and gameplay. I don't think that for me its life duration will be that long but quite good in comparison of most igame, I already made 3 full careers for about 24h of intensive fun play, and I'll easily play two more for a sum of roughly 40h. In fact I'm already expecting a sequel or some well done clones. I'm hot into the game so could tend over-evaluate it a bit, but for me it's the best game I played on iPad with Knights of the Phantom Castle, for me both have a head over the other best iPed games I played (I'd say R Type, Plants vs Zombies, Spirit, Ynth, Puzzle Quest, Knight Defense, and Despicable Me: Minion Mania). Yes it's also the last console I quote each time, at least before the 20 years. I suppose it's for the PS3 and the game last update was made a bit before the PS3 launch.
Sorry for my lack of console culture but what are they respectively? It's like the console with 3D released before the 20 years, it seems released too soon for being the DS 3D but it made me wonder what it was.
What are you strategies/ Which consoles do you delvop for and skip, I seem to be having a hard time making money quickly I've completed the game once but mainly costed through breaking even on new titles.
I am on year 15, Cannot buy any console(50k+) because they are too expensive and i only have 9,423.2k. What did i do wrong?
You didnt save up enough money. You need to save up about 70,000K before you get into the third building. That way you can get into a new building, get a new console, and get two more employees ASAP. - Don't advertise before year 10ish - Don't overspend on your employees and job searches before year 10 - Use your head to think of good combos
