Also, don't forget to train them.. My Francoise Bloom went up beyond what most people can imagine.. bdw, i have 8 hackers with max lvls on all their jobs
You're also on Year 40 though, most only play to year 20. Not picking faults, just saying so people don't think they suck at the game lol Are consoles still coming out in year 40? What's your market share of your console?
No consoles came out in year 40 and my console's market share is 18%.. I'm just playing beyond 20 years to try getting 100mil unit sold in a single game lol... I've already started over the career 5 times the game started to get boring so i made up my own little achievements like 100mil units sold in single game, try getting francois to 1000+ stats (lol), 120k people at Gamedex, crazy game stats (like 800+ on all stats..fun, creativity, graphics, music), looking for "top secret" staff to hire (if they exist lol)
I'm really confused on strategy with this game... I'd think that I want a Writer, Designer and Sound Engineer since those are what you choose for each element of the game. However, you seem to lose (a lot) of points if you re-use the same people so does that mean I need two of each, or each person needs at least two jobs? Also, how do the other jobs like Director and Producer factor in?
Directors and Producers are good at multiple jobs, so that you can alternate their jobs in developing games. If you use the same person twice in a row then the outcome will be significantly lower.
When your game is 100% complete and been through the debug phase you get a screen where you can "ship" (start to sell) or "change title" (rename the game). If you ship before you change the name, you've missed your chance. Making consoles is covered several times earlier in this thread, however: - Pick a member of staff to become your hardware engineer - Level up their current role (e.g. coder, writer, etc.) to 5 - Buy a "career change manual" from the salesman (better still, buy 3) - Swap the staff member's career. - Level that career to 5. - Keep levelleing to 5 and swapping to the new careers that appear. - After Director and Producer you will be able to swap to Hardware Engineer - Now you can make a console. I'd recommend saving up to make the best console that you can, then swap your level 5 hardware engineer to a hacker which will be available when hardware engineer is level 5. I absolutely love this game. It's addicting and really fun. I just completed my second playthrough of this game. Here are some pictures of my stats if you guys want to see. http://img705.imageshack.us/i/img0052k.png/ http://img46.imageshack.us/i/img0053k.png/ http://img138.imageshack.us/i/img0054s.png/ http://img823.imageshack.us/i/img0055y.png/ http://img233.imageshack.us/i/img0056z.png/ http://img833.imageshack.us/i/img0057.png/ http://img838.imageshack.us/i/img0058e.png/ http://img829.imageshack.us/i/img0059.png/
Aww finally getting my console after 20 years was a little disappointing. It had very few customization options. And it's impossible to make it any better then the previous if you choose the same options. Unless I'm missing something anyway.
