The clip i have with my Madcatz Micro actually feels sturdy enough, but of course i dont have the regular CTRLi's clip to make a comparison.

The only real problem is that i cant put the controller down and let it sit with the iphone4s attached coz it'll tip over. The snap-ons seem fits well and snug, but i can see that in time wear and tear will cause problems.

Ahh. Yeah, it's a tight clip. It's the same one from the Android version of the controller, which was released long before the iPhone 6 Plus - obviously not designed or tested for the new iPhones.

Maybe we'll get lucky and they'll start selling a replacement clip...

That it's The best solution that MAD CATZ Can do it for they're costumers, while MOGA REBEL have a clip that can't be replace( i don't use MOGA REBEL since iOS 8,seems broken on iOS 8..disconnection,and lot of problem) I will buy immediately a more wider clip from MAD CATZ..I see people insert a PSP on MAD CATZ Clip,so,maybe it's only my fear that can bend my iPhone 6 plus after some month of daily use,but it's the only controller with clip that work well on iOS 8x...

It's official. Im addicted to my Madcatz Micro.

Havent touched any other game without support for it except for Tap Titans (only because this is the only game i can play while working, without even looking at the screen :p), Chrono Trigger (because Chrono Trigger.), and Polara (which i picked up again recently).

And yeah... I'll be that annoying guy who will always have to go "MFi support?" on upcoming releases that i think could benefit from the controller. :p

Same here, though a full size Mad Catz in my case. Though actually for me, I still play touch-only games if they wouldn't benefit from controller support anyway. However I've found since getting a controller that I'm much less tolerant of any game where it feels like the touch controls are a compromise compared to physical controls.

Actually, I know a few people there, I'll ask them about it! It's not a bad idea - even if it cost 10-15 bucks, I think it would still be worth it for a lot of people.

Yeah, addiction is a slippery slope. One minute you buy a shiny looking iOS accessory, the next minute you have a wall full of controllers and a website about them. Help me

It's weird how often it feels like that, too. Touch didn't bother me so much before the controllers came out. Now, I don't even know how people play Minecraft PE at all

Will there ever come a time apple would require MFi support on app submissions? It doesnt look viable with how many devs and submissions there are to review, but hey, free to dream, right?

I don't think that requirement would make sense. First of all many games wouldn't benefit from controller support anyway. For instance I've tried playing the Xbox version of Bejewelled, and it's very awkward compared to using touch controls or a mouse. Even if you just meant it only to apply to games that could benefit from controller support, Apple would never do that, since iOS devices are first and foremost touch devices. Given all the trouble Apple goes to to only have one physical button on the front of their iOS devices, it would be a big reversal for them to mandate physical controller support.

I knew you didn't mean it as a realistic suggestion, so sorry if I seemed to be responding too literally. My main point was that even as a dream it doesn't make make sense to me, since for many of the games I like, touch control actually seems like the most ideal type of controls. However if we're dreaming, I would like it if every game which could possibly benefit from physical controls was required to have controller support.

...and a super zillionaire buys all gamin companies, merges them all, and makes all games available to all platforms. And removes all traces of IAPs, and will implement laws against IAP, where even mentioning the word without following with a bashing on IAPs, is a criminal act.

I'm as big a controller fan as anyone, and even I think it would be a bad idea to require all games support controllers. Some are just not a good fit. Most, even.

I'd like to see Apple make it a lot easier to implement controller support, and I'd like to see them provide more of an incentive for doing it. I think the problem would work itself out if they did both of those.

Just a headsup:the micro CTRLi doesn't gave me a"low battery"warning and therefore it killed my 8 winning streak in asphalt and cost me 10 rank points #*+~<

But the batteries lasted VERY long i have to admit.

    Thanks for the heads up!

I know it shows the battery level in the support app, so I suppose I'll start making it a habit to check there before starting any long gaming sessions. That would suck to have the controller die in the middle of Monster Hunter where a single misstep could turn the tide of an entire hunt in the wrong direction!

I checked the bat level in their app from time to time and i was sure there was enough power left. But another thing could happen as well:i bought rechargables for the micro and it was the first run,not calibrated yet.

Yeah, the lack of battery indication is a little irritating. But it does last a LONG time on a charge. It's a minor complaint...

Good news. From 10% battery (yep been keeping close eye) the 4 light indicators on the Madcatz Micro kept flashing about 4 times in 10-to-12 second intervals until i decided to stop playing, having 4% left on the battery.

Problem is gaming on the tv orwhen my ipad is on a slightly higher position than my hands. No way my eyes are on the controller to see if i have low battery.

On the bright side, THERE IS AN INDICATOR WHEN THE BATTERY IS LOW.

Will keep an eye on this til it dies out to see if the lights flash faster as the battery closes out to zero.
