The MAD CATZ C.T.R.L.I BLUETOOTH IOS 7 CONTROLLER that I read here coming out this month, can be buy on Apple Store?or only from Mad catz site?thanks
Well, Madcatz is still reporting a June 2014 release. I bet you, it will just be on their site to start, but soon after will go to the applestore.
Gameloft appears to be migrating to the MFi controller standard, with Asphalt 8, Dungeon Hunter 4, and Gangstar Vegas all being updated for official support. Modern Combat 5 will also have support eventually, though it may or may not arrive at launch...
It will almost certainly be available at the Apple Store, though possibly a few days after it will be available on the Mad Catz store.
Samuari II just got the controller update...........this is very interesting as this game was released a long time ago. Also.........it's a Madfinger game......and an old one. PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE update Shadowgun already! Samuari is older than that, and the damn analog sticks ALREADY work in Shadowgun, just not the buttons!
Strange, why the sudden surge in controller support for games, is Apple giving the green light... Are they the ones who control everything lol
I've been looking forward to that update! Hopefully it'll all work smoothly. I've always been a fan of Samurai II as well, so it was nice seeing it updated for compatibility. Just a solid, fun game without any of the IAP or freemium stuff the later games would have.
Not quite; 9to5mac reports that Apple might provide their own list soon. Personally, I'm skeptical Apple even has such a list, let alone that they'll publicize it. By all accounts, there is no way for developers to actually indicate that MFi support exists in their games when they upload them. Basically, there is no backend database of games with support. I think it's far more likely that Apple provides a short list of 10-20 top quality games with support, the same way they prompt people to download iWork, garage band, iPhoto and such.
I think it might be same as the new appstore, what is it 150 games list? But who knows, maybe they will have mfi flags on their itunes. But you are right, it is still to be determined by Apple. Mad catz came out with some android software. I wonder if they have any plans for a Mojo like ios console. That would be interesting. All eyes are on madcatz now for the release in less than 2 weeks.
We've added MFi controller support to our new (free) release, RPG Quest - Freemiae: https://itunes.apple.com/app/id883044658 And we're about to submit an update to our original (paid) RPG Quest - Minimae so it will have MFi support too. I'll put the work into adding MFi support to Super Splatform too if a few people ask for it in the Super Splatform thread here on TA forums. All our games have iCade support already.
