not sure if this works with MFi gamepads, but - Hungry Shark Evolution apparently supports controllers.
It works with my Steelseries Stratus. The activity light doesn't turn on, but the left analog stick and the A button work for movement and speed burst.
Yes I miss something. For non-wireless MFi controller: iOS 7 device with lightning port For wireless MFi controller: iOS 7 device maybe enough But maybe there are some exception that I don't know. I find that many iOS user do not know what is MFi controller and how it is so important in iOS 7. Some people think that buying a MFi controller is just for playing MHP2G. But they don't know it is for a few hundreds and increasing number of iOS game. And even for some emulators like GBA4iOS and NDS4iOS that can play without JB.
Almost. Steelseries still requires a lightning port. Why? Who knows. So wireless at this point still needs lightning, though jailbroken mfi game controllers don't, which is ironic. Will let you know later if the madcatz c.t.l.r.i will or not later.
I talked to Mad Catz about it, and the CTRLi will require a lightning port the same as the others - wasn't up to Mad Catz, Apple requires it. Also won't have any of the multi-device compatibility of the CTRLr model, though may gain Mac support in the future (as may the SteelSeries)
Shouldn't have anything to do with it, but Apple requires lightning ports on all MFi compatible devices. Blame Apple - jailbreak controllers work fine on the iPad 2, 3, iPhone 4, and 4S
Yeah, I just did a little "research" and understand where Connect was coming from. Required by Apple. Got it. I misunderstood what he meant. I'm on the same page now.
Amazon does not ship electronics to my place, afaik. Anyway, I think SteelSeries is the best so far (right?) and I can wait for a couple of months more for new models coming out.
The SteelSeries is the most versatile, at least. For 2D games, it will likely be as good or better than all of the upcoming controllers. For 3D games, you might prefer waiting for the Mad Catz controller, which should be released within the next month or two
I wouldn't count on that. Steelseries is cool for a travelling joystick. Especially in pocket. Mad catz will be cool as more a regular size stick. So whichever is more important should determine to wait or not.
