This. But if you're so wanting the latest mame4ios (gridlee) builds on your device. Then buy a developers licence, that way you can compile it on your non-jail broken iPhone/iPad. Even retroarch can be loaded onto your device that way.

Only issue is... You won't be able to run dynarec JIT so your emulators won't be speedy. Apple don't allow runtime. Jail breaking unlocks that feature for emus

You'd be far better off jailbreaking if you want to do this type of thing, yes. It's cheaper, faster, and you get to use PlayStation controllers...

For everyone else, there are still a ton of available MFi controller compatible games, no jailbreak required ;)

I have the iCade 8-Bitty controller for Gridlee and iMame4all, but I'd love to use the Stratus with it, so I could play all of my arcade driving game ROMs with the analogue stick and superior buttons.

Speaking of driving games, I hope Colin McRae Rally adds MFi support.

    I love the Stratus.
If I was nitpicking, I'd say the only issue I have with it, is the L2 & R2 buttons need to be pressed hard for them to register.
I wish the games I've been using(GTA: San Andreas & Riptide GP2) would use the L1 & R1 buttons as the vehicle throttle instead, as those two buttons are much more easy to press.
Asphalt 8 uses the R1 and has the option of using the 'A' button too.

The analogue sticks are simply awesome. I think they're even better than the ones on the DS3, as they have a bit more resistance to them.
I had an original Sony PSP some years ago now, and the flat analogue thumb 'nub' was atrocious.

Ha, same with the MOGA... Sonic Racing Transformed is one I have this problem with (along with riptide). I hope the Devs do something about it, though I really don't think that it'll happen...

I've noticed this as well, though the problem is more pronounced with the SteelSeries than the Moga.

Part of the issue is that developers generally don't test with all controllers. In the days of the big publishing companies, there would be QA teams and beta testers and all sorts of checks in place. We've lost a lot of that with today's indie developer world. We've gained a lot, too, don't get me wrong; just saying there are trade-offs.

I guess if every developer implemented a 'redefine controls' option, these issues can be avoided.

Fantastic stuff - loved that with my iCP, which is now gathering dust. More than happy to play this one again.

How come the Lego games aren't on the list? Lego Star Wars works great!

Controllers for all is gonna get an update later today. It should fix the issues with GBA4iOS and Metal Slug 3. It also adds support for the wii U pro Controller.

List doesn't appear to be updated anymore, but you're absolutely right, Lego Star Wars is amazing :D

Excellent, I was wondering when that would be released.

The creator of C4all was talking on Twitter about how to implement Wii U Pro controller - whether to map the buttons to visually match the buttons on the controller (A to A, B to B), or whether to map according to where the MFi spec says each button should be (A to B, B to A). I wonder what he decided...

I also wonder about the WiiU Pro controller. While it is a damn fine controller, there are ZERO analog buttons, which includes the triggers.......I may have to give it a whirl........

Is it worth ditching DS3 over Wii U PRO?

No, the DS3 is a great controller. The lack of analog on the Wii U Pro pad could get in the way eventually.

With all the official MFi controllers coming out soon, including several full size bluetooth pads, the last thing I'd do right now is buy another unofficial controller...

Kotor's controller support has been improved. Wow! I'm impressed! Bigger texts, all menus can be accessed with the controller and they added some new menus on top of that. That's some really good work.

Good to hear! I'll have to reinstall that one and maybe I'll spend the time to finish it this time around ;)
