Lego star wars is so so good with a ps3 controller! Gba4ios doesn't work with it though. It crashes when I press start and the buttons aren't working...
It really is - I remember playing it on my PS2 back in the day, but this feels better somehow I'm not sure why GBA4iOS isn't working - I haven't tested that one with the PS3 controller, but my understanding was that controller behaves as an MFi pad. Are you running the latest version of the controllers for all software? I know they patched a few things...
Yes, both the latest Mikey Shorts and Mikey Hooks controller updates are live! Both games now have d-pad, left analog, L1+R1 for Retry during a level, and auto-lock is disabled when a controller is attached. Mikey Shorts has the ability to continue through cutscenes and tips by pressing the A button. Mikey Hooks has menu support.
GO Mikey! , thnx mike testing now Getting some rapid times with the analog stick, that's with cucumbers for eyes whilst sporting a 70's Afro!...Mikey that is not me
Great week for controller support! Let's keep them coming! Hey Madfinger Games.........dazzle me with Shadowgun updates!! The games are half way there already!!
Works great, I'm impressed! The menu control in Mikey Hooks is a really nice addition Indeed, this HAS been a heck of a week! Though I'm disappointed Bug Heroes 2 doesn't support controllers - I could have sworn that the developers said it would...
Magical - more Mikey - no big shakes at all, Mike, but the Halloween one would be a beautiful hat-trick.
Thanks for trying it out! And I've gotta say that there is nothing more cool than Mikey rocking the big fro! I'm glad you like the menu support! It is really cool, but man was that a lot of tedious work. Yeah, that would be a great hat-trick! I could probably add it easy enough, though I have no idea if or when we'd do it. But we'll keep that in mind. Thanks to everyone for trying out the updates, and I'm very happy that it all seems to be working.
Woohoo!!! Yeah, I tried out Mikey Hooks this morning, and it's great! I prefer the upper controls (jump on the right), so I had to get comfortable with using those buttons instead of the lower ones, but other than that - I'm totally psyched that I get to replay both Mikey games with a controller. The menu interaction is outstanding as well. Thank you so much for that! Now I'm off - to shave a couple more milliseconds off my times. =oD
You're very welcome! Yeah, I think I'm with you in that I liked the jump on the right. But we decided to switch it to the standard A (Mario) jump button as we got a lot of folks hitting us up with "A isn't jump?!?"
They've added support for some of their recent games but it doesn't look like they're very interested in reaching too far back in their catalog. Moving foreword we can expect controller support (Perhaps a nova 4 is in the works? YAY!!). Id really like nova 3 to support the new standard but from a business standpoint it doesn't make much sense for them. The core audience who'd buy the game has already done so, years ago. It's disappointing, but knowing gameloft I'm sure they got plenty of shooters coming down the pike.
dang, I thought it was supposed to, too? not that that's the only reason why i bought it, but it influenced my decision. Hadn't had time to open it up yet, but I did have time to put it in my controller support folder. now if I could only have those 10 seconds back.
Both Wild Blood and NOVA 3 support the Duo Gamer controller. If you want to play them with a controller that badly, just look on eBay for a Duo Gamer controller. You'll probably find one for less than $10. Modern Combat 3 and Asphalt 7 also are supported with this controller. It's unfortunate that so few games are supported by this controller, but if your jalibroken, it is supported by BluTrol, which will give you a lot more use out of that thing.
Yeah, that's what I've heard from a lot of different developers. I wonder if there is anything Apple could have done to make it easier... Yeah, I was one of those... you could always add 2 control profiles in the settings It's free, so it isn't THAT big of a deal
Looks like the updated firmware for the steel series stratus controller is available for download (it supposedly fixes the d-pad + button press issue): http://steelseries.com/us/support/downloads Just click on the stratus controller and a pop up will show the links.
