No idea how you or Mr McLeod (whose website is phenomenal by the way) keep track of these things but it is properly appreciated here. Excellent stuff, gov.
I tried it, it's not bad - it's a port of an old MSX game About time! Been waiting for that one for a while Thanks! It's tricky staying on top of it all, especially when developers don't actively mention that there is support. Hopefully Apple will eventually add a tag for it, the way Game Center is labeled now
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH JET SET RADIO!! Looks like I gotta clear up some more space. Bye bye music. =oP I've been hoping that it'd get controller support sometime this year. I wasn't really expecting it to be so soon though! =oD Here's hoping Afterburner Climax, Crazy Taxi and more are in line. =oD Ahh!!! It seems like every day over the last week I've woke up to one more game getting support. Great, great stuff.
Using appshopper is a great way to stay on top of things. That's how I do it. Excited about Jer Set Radio. I still have the Dreamcast version lol
Appshopper is definitely essential, yeah. It doesn't cover everything, but over 2/3rds of controller supported games will be reported there
Stratus Steelseries and iphone 4s/ipad 2 Did anybody test SteelSeries stratus with iphone 4s and ipad 2? Both iphone 4s and ipad 2 should run iOS 7 and should be compatible with MPi standard. Also SteelSeries stratus doesn't need Lightning connection. Please, help me, I would love to buy SteelSeries stratus but I need to be sure of its compatibility...
Blazing Star got an update yesterday, and it seems that they added controller support for it as well, even though it doesn't mention it in the update notes. It works on my MOGA controller perfectly.
Christ on a bike. Great news today. Downloading again now. The guy up above - sorry - steel series doesn't work with iPad2 or 4s. Only connects to devices with lightning connectors. Terrible decision. I've jb'ed my iPad2 and use a PS3 controller.
That's the great thing about the Made For iOS standard. If a product has the MFi stamp on it, you know it's compatible. Otherwise Apple wouldn't allow it. From the developer point of view this is great too. As Apple's setting all sorts of specific standards for how the buttons are meant to work on MFi controllers, we can design our games with these standards in mind, test on a set of controllers for the 3 types of layout that are available and know our games will work with any future MFi controllers.
Sorry, I don't believe it is compatible, contrary to what others have said. I believe it requires a device with a lightning port, even though that makes no sense. It's possible the bluetooth standard used in later devices is different, but whatever the reason, I don't think it works... Awesome! Always irritating when they add support without mentioning it
No,it's not compatible.. Devices compatible: iPhone 5-5C-5S IPAD:iPad 4,iPad air,iPad mini IPOD: iPod 5gen Running iOS 7
The iPad 3 and iPhone 4 actually make sense to me, because those products are so many orders of magnitude weaker than the ones Apple sells now. The 4S makes no sense to me, though - that's more powerful than the iPod Touch, and Apple still actively sells it. All of these devices work with the jailbreak hack, so there's no technical limitation in the software spec. It's either arbitrary, or related to the Bluetooth or Lightning standards used in the newer products.
Mikey Shorts is crashing everytime I'm pausing it using the start button on my DS3, is anyone having the same problem? Working fine though when pausing using the button on the screen.
Works fine for me with the Moga, Logitech, and SteelSeries - must be an issue with the jailbreak tweak.
That is strange, I agree. The tweak has been very compatible, according to most people who use it regularly. Are you using the latest version?
