Yep - I like a bit of digression. If it wasn't for digression I wouldn't be where I am today, digressing.
Well be prepared when Controllers for all will be updated to support wii u controller, this thread will be full of it. ^^ And I don't think that we need a new thread.
There's a good chance I'll jailbreak my device (even though I said I'd never do it) only to use my PS3 controller, because right now it doesn't seem like any of the current controllers are worth buying. I've seen and read several reviews, the consensus is they aren't worth the asking price and leave much to be desired when compared to last-gen's consoles. I will however wait to see what's next. If a company releases a controller worth while, I'll buy it. But so far, this hasn't happened. Thanks for the answers about Blutrol, very interesting (specially the video). Now that I've seen how it works, it unfortunately will not work with the few games I had in mind, mainly because there are spots on the screen that must be used (i.e. inventory, small buttons) that cannot possibly be mapped to every controller button.
The SteelSeries Stratus is a perfectly good controller. I prefer the controller-case form factor of the Logitech and Moga controllers, but they both have serious flaws of one kind or another. The SteelSeries doesn't have any real flaws - it's a good controller. If you'd rather deal with jailbreaking than spend $80, the PlayStation controllers are great too. But you would be happy with the SteelSeries as well.
Just played that C.H.A.O.S. With the SteelSeries. Not great. Only used the d-pad so movement is pretty restricted. I take it the Developer didn't really test it. Edit: just played on Logitech and it still needs some tilts and swipes so I'll get that out of my MFi folder. Back to 2k Drive now.
I agree with both of those, though the small size only really becomes a factor when playing games that require both analog sticks.
I've had all three controllers, but returned the Logitech due to the limited control layout. If it had analogs and extra triggers. I would've kept it over the MOGA. The MOGA is pretty good. However, I wish it had the rubberized coating the Logitech has...I wish the MOGA didn't feel so cheapy. As for the Steel Series, it's pretty nice. Would I like a full sizes controller? Sure, but I wouldn't carry it around like I do the Stratus. Also, even with the price drop, it may be a bit pricey since it doesn't give you the option to charge your iOS device. Does anyone know of a MFi controller "control panel?" I'd like to see what my thresholds are for each controller. I feel as if I really have to get on the triggers of the Stratus to get 100% throttle in Ashphalt 8.
I really, really hate the rubberized coating on the logitech. Feels like sandpaper. To my hands, the moga and steelseries feel much better. The really like the rest of the way the Logitech feels, though. Solid construction, which the Moga is missing. Sadly there aren't any control panel apps that I know of, either
Nope, they haven't added compatibility yet - I'll add it to the list when it is, and I'm sure it'll be mentioned on this thread as well
Does anybody know whether Forsaken Media intend to add controller support to their games? I would love to play Heroes and Castles with a controller
+1 +1 +1 After having a taste of Bug Heroes with controller support ,using a tweak that will from now on be un-named I have to agree. I would absolutely LOVE to see them update their catalog. Hopefully Bug Heroes 2 will support MFi......
It would be nice to see that - I believe they're adding support to their new games going forwards, but not sure about the old ones
The price of the Moga Ace Power controller has officially dropped to $79.99. The Apple Store price has yet to change to reflect that. If this is anything like when the Stratus dropped in price, it'll change in a few days.
