Yup - much better price, I'd say Hey, I know it ain't the majority view Still, I've always found it easier to move along 2 axis - left right up down - than along three axis - left right up down AND in out. Less stressful on the thumbs, for me at least
Nah, I agree the nubs on the moga aren't great - but GOOD nubs are my favorite solution. It's hard to get right. But for example, the 3DS does it really well
Well any other Bluetooth enabled controller. The dev said in his twitter account what else shall I add to the list. I said add support for Japanese hori ps3 licensed fighting pads.
I ended up jailbreaking my iPad 4 yesterday specifically to try out the Controllers For All tweak with a PS4 controller. So far I've tried it out with GTA: San Andreas, Sonic 2, Limbo, and Tomb Raider. Limbo and Sonic 2 seemed to have the easiest time getting the controller to work. I could never get the controller to work with Tomb Raider and after pairing the DS4, the game wouldn't respond to touch controls in the menu screen. GTA: SA worked just fine with the controller, but I seemed to have the most trouble pairing the DS4 with that game. However, it did help me remember the wonky controls San Andreas had back in the day. (B button for shooting? Really?!?) It seemed best to also turn off Controllers for All when I am not intending on using it. Also it seems to have issues after a while, and I have to reset the iPad. In the end, I liked trying out the DS4 and the chance Controllers for All gave me to try out the MFI control system. Not sure I have enough games yet to make it worth it to buy the official controllers.
Gosh. I may have to pick up a Logitech Powershell for 69.99... I use a DS3 with my iPad Mini Retina right now, but was thinking of picking up a PS4 controller. The face buttons may be digital, but the triggers and directional pad are still analog, right?
I don't see what you're point is. I'm not complaining about the price. I'm enticed by the sale price. You sound like a prick. I'd pay the premium for something like this for my iPad Mini Retina:
Do you realise there's no stick on it?!!!! Excuz me sir but what kind of games exactly do you wanna play with your mfi?!!
Actually everything what you're going to play with Stratus/Moga/DS3. I've got PowerShell and I play Dead trigger, gta, asphalt, limbo, real boxing and Prince of Persia with it. In first to games you just use your right finger on the screen instead of right stick on controller. I bought Powershell because of much better quality and I love platformers I'm very happy with it and I would recommend it to everyone for whom FPS games are not so important. P.S. I hope to see an update for Real Racing 3 with a MFi support. Please support it with "Like" following the link: http://https://firemonkeys.zendesk.com/entries/23744985-iOS-7-MFi-Game-Controller-support
I have it set to default (with the other options being iCade/iControlCad, 60Beat GamePad, and BladePad). I get a "Controller Connected" message and notification.. and har har game, now it works...
I believe that's true, yeah, at least regarding the triggers. The Logitech is all analog, I know that much
Yup, I agree completely - the Logitech is actually very playable with a variety of games, and the hardware feels really solid. Interestingly, Real Racing 3 already has some level of controller support. It isn't playable, but it shows they're experimenting with it
I love my Logitech for my phone and have the SteelSeries on pre-order but I jb'ed today as I picked up an old PS3 controller and I have to say that it works like a blooming charm. Absolutely fantastic stuff. Just jb'ed my old iPad2 as It was getting a bit old and wouldn't work with the SteelSeries anyhow. Proper good stuff.
It really does work surprisingly well, and I'd definitely recommend it for devices that are incompatible with MFi controllers, and when jailbreaking is an option
