Looks like the Steelseries Stratus will be releasing very soon from what I hear. It will be great since it is the first detacheable bluetooth ios 7 joystick which will be ideal to use with both iphones and ipads. http://www.tomshardware.com/news/steelseries-ios-gaming-stratus-controller,25783.html
The SteelSeries is available right now from Apple - I've been looking forward to this one... http://store.apple.com/us/product/HE760VC/A/steelseries-stratus-wireless-gaming-controller This generally means that they'll be on Apple Store shelves within the week.
Cool, so they should be in the Apple stores soon? That is cool, gotta go take a serious look at it. Finally some detached bluetooth joysticks are coming out, that is good news, indeed!
The last two products I ordered from Apple ended up showing up in-stores before the delivery reached my house. Also keep in mind, Apple has a 2 weeks no-questions-asked return policy. I ended up returning 2 Mogas before I found one with a working headphone jack. Hopefully this controller won't require a similar experience, but it is definitely an option to remember.
Yeah, that can be one of the downsides about the Lighting adapter - unlike 30pin, there is no audio passthrough. That means every device that outputs audio through lightning needs to include a tiny sound card. Yes, that includes Apple's 30-pin to Lightning cable - there is a tiny sound card inside the head of the cable. Anyways, seems like Moga cut costs with a lousy sound card.
No sure if we can talk about jailbreak stuff here, but there is a new iOS7 tweak called "Controllers for all" (2$) that lets you use a dualshock controller with all MFi games. I tried it with Tomb Raider and Oceanhorn and Sonic 2 and it's working like a charm. Official video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvJ3-7jGj9U
Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel IT WORKS! Jeff is way too excited like we all are! This is a reason alone to jailbreak.
