Actually quite excited about that one. My Logitech controller arrived today but my wife won't let me open it until Christmas. Who said Christmas was for kids? My son probably?
Ha, I'm in exactly the same boat! I got a page of controller supported games, but no moga yet! Let's hope we can find some time to play on Christmas Day!!! Have a good one!
I'm in the same boat. I have a 128gb Cellular iPad I've bought that I can't play with until Christmas Day. I actually bought 2 of these. One for me and one for the kids. I thought I'd get to play with mine early but I'm going to have to wait for Santa with the kids.
"Kingdoms Fall" just added support. What's new - Added MFi Game Controller support! Now you can control your character with any MFi compatible game controller. Currently there are MFi game controllers available from Logitech, and MOGA. Check them out!
Riptide GP2 I think adds iOS 7 support, but not clear on that.. What's new - Support for Game Controllers (Gamepads and Extended Gamepads)
hi Gov, just tested RipTide GP 2,plays awesome on the MOGA Ace, with the Analog sticks and triggers. Not tested Logitech yet, although it says it automatically detects it.. See a review at: http://mfi4.gamerz.co/topic59.html
C.H.A.O.S Tournament C.H.A.O.S HD Multiplayer Air War C.H.A.O.S Multiplayer Air War What's new - = helpful tips for new pilots = UI improvement = Turkish localization = compatibility with game controllers for iOS 7, including Logitech PowerShell Controller and MOGA Ace controller = Rename function = many more bonuses and gifts!
This may be just me, but I can't get Terraria to work with the Logitech Controller. Has anyone got it working?
Got the Moga. Love it. Mad all my games don't use it. Really want to use it with Madden and Order and Chaos online
Patience, I'm sure game devs will be updating their support for it soon, as it is an official apple standard built into ios7
I really hope that Apple makes their own joystick and announces it at an iphone or ipad reveal event. Without much buy in from the public, devs will not have much incentive to add ios 7 joystick support. Just opens up a can of worms for other problems. Problem is, almost no one knows about the joysticks in the real world. Even last when I went to the Apple Store, none of the apple geniuses I talked to knew about it. I hope things change, but for it to succeed faster, Apple will have to do something to advertise it, and hopefully fix lightning hdmi so we can use our devices as consoles. It'll be interesting how long it will take the ios 7 joystick to match the number of games that have icade joystick support. It's going to take longer than people would have expected 3 months ago.
I'm thinking it's going fast.. Official iCADE site list 197 game supported for the controllers. MFi controller games supported are around 115 so far, and That's just me keeping track, average around 5 a week being added since launch.. That's is over a period of 2 months... Now compare that to iCADE support which has been around for 2 Years! . Fact is it is far more easier and cost effective to implement an MFi game controller than it is an iCADE contoller or any other controller into your Game projects, for example Unity has built in MFi support. . I think you are mistaking an Apple product with an MFi manufactured product, certified Mfi manufacturers are endorsed by Apple to make accessories for their platform, it ensures a certain quality standard, limits compatibility problems that lead to fragmentation. Unifying game controllers into iOS 7 is a smart move for the future growth and development of apple mobile gaming. I'm guessing if you asked the Apple genius if they had an "L5 remote" they would nt know what you are talking about either.. Yet it is an official MFi Apple Accessory. Like I say before "patience" . Let's see in 6 months the number of Mfi compared to iCADE compatible titles. .
Yeah, I agree with most of what you say, and of course the implementation is much faster than icade. But with that said, if you had asked alot of us what would happen between the iphone and ipad reveal events through christmas, I think the expectations would have been alot higher. If apple would have made a joystick themselves and revealed it at one of their reveals, then many of us here would have joysticks, and many more would have gotten them from santa. But, the reality of the situation is, the general public knows nothing of them, so much so that even Apple geniuses know almost nothing about them. So I would say the cup is half empty, instead of being full right now. But, it is a start, and I hope soon a detached bluetooth joystick with dual analog sticks will come out soon. Hopefully, by next Christmas, more people will know about it, so I don't have to explain what an ios 7 or mfi joystick is to Apple geniuses.
Yeh, I agree with ya, mfi game controllers need to get into the limelight more. I'm sure as more big developers get on board we,ll start seeing more public interest , early days yet, it's only been 2 months if that. The CES show is on the 7th of Jan , maybe we'll see some BT controllers announced from Logitech or MOGA then.? Here's hoping so anyway.
