Call of Duty Strike Team got the iOS7 controller update....but it says you have to have dual thumb sticks...So does that mean that it will work with MOGA but NOT Logitech?

    Something I noticed.

Well...........the Logitech pad has no analog sticks. Being that you kinda need those for FPS, I'd say, for now, it's MOGA only. My question is, where is that other Logitech game pad? Remember? There were two initial plans shown. One of them was a stand alone prototype. That's what I'm waiting for.

I'm looking forward to reports on the Logitech pad. Even if it doesn't have the analog sticks, I'd get one if it had the right controller feel.

I haven't heard about this one! A bluetooth controller is what I'm most excited for.

    Day 2

So has anyone out there picked up a MOGA at an Apple store yesterday or Today? I have seen a bunch of somewhat mixed reviews online. Any person accounts or man on the street reports?

I picked one up for my 5S. So far I'm extremely happy with it. Actually I've got no real complaints. The people complaining about it being "cheap" plastic are exaggerating. It feels like good quality. And don't whine about it being $100. Its got a battery backup. Buy it or don't. No one is putting a gun to your head.

Excellent... I am thinking about picking up one. I dont mind the feel of the buttons. Are they responsive? any lag issues? What games have you tried..

    thanks for the feedback

I ordered mine today, I really think this one will give the best console like feel. I really like the bladepad, but it looks too small, has tiny shoulder 2 buttons and it's not out yet! Only things it has going are Bluetooth and build quality.

I'll take the moga to start, can always sell and change as new controllers come out over the next 6 months. Glad some one one tried it and likes it, sure I will feel the same!

Again I'm also keen to see what games u have played on it.

I hope block fortress get controller support !!

I've also updated the controllers list with the Logitech PowerShell and the MOGA Ace Power with TouchArcade's Hands on.

I'm also announcing that I'll link anyone who'll be posting impressions on game controllers on the 1st page, so everyone can find it and read your review. So please post your controller impressions in this thread, so it'll be easier for me to find it and link it. ;)

P.S. we have approached 50+ games now.

Thanks Xeyad.. But in the future when there are over thousands of games, how will we know of these controllers are compatible? Would they state it in the app store? Actually how do you even know the games you put on the list are compatible? Do they tell you or do you check somewhere? Thanks

When a game supports controllers, almost all developers mention "iOS 7 controller support" or "compatible with game controllers" in the game description in the App Store, therefore I only add a game on the list when they mention it in their description. Moreover, the forum members here are always helping out on finding games with controller support!

Rest assure that all games you see on the list in the 1st page have controller support. :)

The price of the newest MOGA ACE POWER is not cheap, nearly 100 dollors. Any one want to buy one?

Honestly... at this point, I really can't recommend it. I got one on lunch day only to get home and realize that it was actually DOA. It wouldn't charge or turn on. Their 'support' page didn't even list the controller and in general, the instructions & customer support sucked ass IMHO. For a $100.00 device, I expected much better.

So I took it back to the Apple store and they happily replaced it without any problems. It was still a PITA to have to go all the way back to return it though, which left a slightly bitter taste in my mouth... but it's one of those things that does happen from time to time, so "it was what it was". I was just glad to finally have one.

So now that I've got a chance to use it a bit, I agree with the reviews that call this thing a flimsy POS (without an iPhone/iPod installed). It's made of hard plastic and in general it just feels cheap. Perhaps if it wasn't a slider and/or had a little more weight behind it, it would feel a little more solid.

The controller also doesn't feel very comfortable to hold IMO. I think that's partially do to how far apart your hands are. Had they moved the buttons/shell inwards, so the only visible part of the phone was the screen, I think it would help eliminate the issue. Likewise, I think the ABXY buttons are too close to the top of the controller. It makes pressing the L2 and R2 buttons a little awkward... especially if you're used to a PS3/Xbox controller.

If these issues wont bother you, then go for it. It does work great (no lag or anything like that) and the battery is a beast. I think I'm going to get rid of mine and wait for something a little more compact. I really liked the slider case design I saw floating around the intertubes (the BladePad or even iControlPad2 type of setup). It's a lot more practical for a phone and I like the joystick placement much better. IMHO, any design that puts the controls out to the side is going to feel a little weird. Designs where the controls are under the screen would probably feel a whole lot more natural.

Thank you for your feedback!! I have not had an xbox or PS3 so I don't have a lot to compare to. I was mainly wondering about Lag.

I have a iOS bluetooth controller and its fine for the 4 games it works with(I bought that GameLoft POS Duo thing) and its fine if you have an iPad but if you want to use it with a phone I think the MOGA/Logitech case style is a much better way to go.

Seriously the Duo only works with like 6 of Gamelofts games...ughhh!!
