Every so often Game Center likes to play a cruel joke on me and switch from the main servers to the Sandbox servers. I enter all my credentials and its basically tries to make me create a new account. Anyone else experience this problem or know how to fix it? Any help would be appreciated.
I have encountered this before and what i did was sign out on your gamecenter homepage then sign back in. ( Hope this helps)
I can't sign in to sign out though. That's the issue. I also signed out of the appstore but to no avail.
I've had the same issue. I just wait for a couple of hours before signing back in and the problem is fixed.
Well that does NOT work here. I have now tried starting the game center app and login with my old account. Works fine, I have all my friends. But E-V-E-R-Y game refuses to use that account and instead goes into sandbox mode. Great job Apple, you are stopping yourself from earning money, because now I can't make in app purchases. Fantastic concept.
Are you jailbroken? There's been reports of jailbroken devices going into sandbox mode. In-line with the iBooks issue that jailbreakers are encountering.
I was under the impression it only happened when someone has ******* installed. I'm pretty sure it's part of cracking apps, or downloading cracked apps. I'm jailbroken and its never happened to me. Edit: I guess I'm not allowed to say that here.
Hey everyone, I need help with a Game Center related issue. I just got a beta for a game today, and I have to use Game Center to test a certain part of the game. I have to use the sandbox mode, but sandbox mode doesn't show all of my GC friends, which is what I need to test the game. Any suggestions?
Logout, then login again In gamecenter. Try it a couple of times and it should get back to your old account. I had exactly the same issue, and it worked for me.
Game Center friends in normal mode and sand boxed mode are completely different. Sandbox friends can only be friends with other sandbox accounts. And same with normal accounts. So you need to find out your friends' usernames that have a Game Center sandbox account that are testing the beta too and re-send a friend request to them. Then you can test the sandboxed mode portion of the beta game.
That is not the case. It's a general jailbreaking issue, not one specific facet of jailbreaking (i.e. the ******* app). Even when I was not jailbroken I occasionally got the sandbox issue. But now everything seems to be working just fine.
So...I guess I've been playing with a Sandbox account pretty much since GC was introduced, and all of my achievements are now on that account which recently got signed out. The problem is that I apparently have two Game Center accounts under that same username (one is sandbox, the other is normal) and I can't access my sandbox one intentionally. When I type in my credentials, it logs in to my normal one which has 1,000 points whereas my sandbox one has over 13,000. Any help with this issue? I'm either looking for a way to merge the two together or a way to intentionally log into my sandbox account. Any help is appreciated. TIA!
