Short of spending hours creating my own sub par assets, are there any good sites that have collections of free assets? I know there are some free assets on unity's asset store but it's like one free tank here one free character there and art styles being totally different. Mostly I'm looking for 2d or 3D isometric view RPG/tactics style assets that I can plug in until I can pay for my own or make them(which would take ages for me) Yes I've googled it and I keep getting sent to forums that are a nightmare to sift through.
Gamedevmarket is the way to go. Only some is free but it's a lot better quality and much better organized than the others listed there.
