Did you try to create a "very fast turn-based game"? Those enforce chess type timers similar to how Playdek handles multiplayer matches. With real-time games, I usually just created my own game and saw people joining in quite fast.
I am looking at buying this game because of all the good reviews. However, I am unable to 'feel' the fun in building a spaceship and then flying it through space with lots of events. Can someone help to elaborate a bit? The enjoyment of this game comes from?
Where does it come from at Carcassonne or Catan? There are some games which are simply amazing ... and Galaxy Trucker is such a game ...
What are the supported languages? Game description on the AppStore says "english", but I saw the interview with the creators on youtube and the game was fully localized to Czech language including audio during the intro. Can anyone confirms there are other languages to choose from? Thanks in advance
Thanks, I just wonder why they didn't mention the additional localization on the AppStore as well. Anyway, good to know, thanks once again metalcasket.
Hi, yes. It is English and Czech for now, but we want to add more soon. Definitely German will follow among the first ones.
If you want me to proofread the German translation, just give me a notice. Ist there any date for the Universal release? I can't wait to play it.
Posted on the page before. They have no date. And it won't be universal. Separate iPhone app. https://mobile.twitter.com/GTruckerapp/status/517317193768660992 That's what I'm hanging out for before I jump on. This on an iPhone 6+
Hi! Awesome, we will be in touch! Thanks. The universal release is not yet definite. We are doing everything we can to have it soon. The plan still stands - to have it this year.
No problem. I've already done a few translation / proofread jobs for devs. As long as I have the script or text file, I can help you out. Completely free of charge, of course. And I can ensure you that I can handle my native language.
Universal? Sound much better than separate apps! Awesome game by the way! I'm currently looking for a good deal on the anniversary edition table top version. With that included this will be my most expensive app all year! Pedroapan
Hi Pedropan! Thanks, we are glad you like the app. One of the reasons we are not going for an universal app is that many people only have a phone to play the app, and we are convinced that the game should be cheaper for iPhone that it is for iPad.
Well, you could make this version universal and release a separate cheaper iphone-only-version. I don't mind pushing money your way and i will most likely buy all expansions if and when they are released but i'm a bit hesitant to buy the same content twice. For owners of both ipads and iPhones this game will be much more expensive with totally separate apps. Pedroapan
I'm guessing that iphone will prob have async only due to the smaller screens? Either way I'm glad you guys are even considering it.
I understand. We will most probably go for releasing the expansions that we plan to implement, universally - so you will pay only once for those. And yes, there will be some specifications for the iPhone version (and we're hoping to squeeze the size of the app for iPhones too).
I think the most important thing is to not sacrifice the quality of the iPad version to make it universal. I know it gives people heartburn to see an iPad and an iPhone version of a product but sometimes that's the best way to get the most optimized version of a product. Ticket to Ride is a good example.
