Strange and stranger, as Alice used to say. I play mission 48 1-3 times a day with my second fleet, and it's nowhere near this bad. What I did notice is that my Carrier has the most tendency to switch target, especially at the start of each mission. Happens in both my fleets (I have one in each). Small ships never did this afair, Battleships I'm not sure, and Titan very rarely. Also, @goodgames, another feature request: Storing ship loadouts, including all weapons. Especially for multiplayer, this would be a great addition. But the singleplayer part would benefit greatly from it as well. Then I can have several loadouts for different playstyles, experimenting, missions, etc. 3 per ship should be enough, I think.

I have tried this mission thirteen times with various ships and weapons, but I have not been able to get past it. At this point I am so frustrated with this mission that I am ready to cut my losses and delete the game.
Which ships do you use again? With 3 Capitals, it should be easy-going. Also, what weapons do you have on (screenshots, maybe? Easier than listing them all)? If I have more info, I might be able to figure out what the problem is.

Ouch ... best of luck getting this fixed! Hhmm, does the Appstore allow to rollback to the previous version? Or do you have to resubmit again to get the previous one back up there? I assume you do know that you can ask Apple for an expedited review in emergencies? IAP not working might qualify for that.
New build fixes the problem (out today) go ahead and update. The new C-Type battleship has more HP, faster turn rate and movement and a different layout for slotting. Plus.. DUN DUN DUN it's 1 fleet point cheaper!!! So now you can do Titan, Carrier, Carrier, C-Type Battleship if you're level 40. Man those escort missions in the bonus levels are so hard to keep that sucker alive. I have to have a ship with AA guns sit on it just to keep it from being droned to death. But I keep ALMOST winning, I shall prevail! Man I love this game. It's probably the iOS game I've dropped the most money into it and never felt regret for the amount of fun I've gotten out of it. I would love one feature if you guys are listening, please add cloud save so I can play on my iPad. I started playing on my tiny iPhone 5 and wanted to move to my iPad but all my progress was local only, no way to move to the bigger screen. Hopefully cloud save is added in the future.
@AriocM: Thanks for the heads-up on the update, I'd have missed it for a few more days at least. Back to playing The new C-Type Battleship makes a great first impression, looks like I got the close-combat Battleship I wanted Same number of weapon slots as the regular BS, as fast as a Cruiser. Have to wait for it to become max level to give a verdict if it's suitable for that role; but the first impression is pretty good already. My third fleet (where I train the C-Type up) can win up to stage 28, need to see if I can get even further with them, quite impressive: 2 maxlevel Frigates, 1 maxlevel Chaser, and the new C-Type (now level 10). I loaded the C-Type up with the usual Beam, Missiles, Torpedo active weapons, and filled the remaining slots with close-range weapons. At first I had the Speedup in as well, but didn't need it; so I replaced it with another weapon. I am considering to throw the Torpedo out as well, but not sure on that yet. With a Shield, it should make a great distraction / fire magnet. The only thing I don't like that with a set of mixed range weapon (Torps have 500, Machineguns 360) it stays at the max range of the longest range weapon, instead of the one with the shortest range. @Goodgames: Can you check if that can be changed? The new stages were a breeze for my main fleet. Even the escort stage (57 I think?) wasn't a problem. @AriocM: Which stage exactly do you mean? I cannot recall needing AA guns for any of those escorts. What does your fleet look like? Also, do I see that right, that you updated the graphics, @Goodgames? I am fairly certain the ship models look better and more detailed now. And do you have more new ships in the pipeline? If yes, which ones? I might even get two more of the C-Types, then my fleets would look like this: Titan, Carrier, Carrier, C-Type Battleship, Battleship, Cruiser, C-Type Cruiser, Chaser, Chaser, C-Type I have enough Crystals for another Titan (and just decided on a whim to start saving up for a third one), but that's still on the backburner. I didn't even unlock all slots on the current one yet, and one of the Carriers also has a few slots left. However, Titans take so long to level up that I might get the second one now already, just to get it some levels. Then it'd look like this: Titan, Carrier, Carrier, C-Type Titan, Battleship, Battleship, C-Type Titan, Cruiser, Cruiser, C-Type I'd love to get even more C-Types in the long run, but that'll get a tad expensive
@Goodgames: I asked about that a while ago already, but have to bring it up again: Can you check and increase the droprates for the "Possible Gains" equipment/weapons shown for each stage? They still seem to be 0%, I did not get a single one of the items shown as possible gain yet. With new ships now, I need to farm a lot of equipment, and going for the stuff per stage would be nice. I think 25% drop rate should be okay, 50% if you want to be nice to us The remaining 75/50% would then work just as they do now. Another one: Did you increase the number of daily Gifts and free Khorium? I got 10 or more gifts in a row, and still no end in sight; same for the Khorium. I'm pretty sure it was 3 and 5 before the update. Anyways, not complaining, just wondering
I used to use a bunch of missile boats to blow the enemy out of the air but as the levels progressed and they became more resistant, or came in more waves, I ran out of missiles so I am running a Titan, Carrier, Battleship, C-Type Battleship and training up my 2nd carrier to replace the Battleship. Level 52: ? or some of those had you protect a ship while 2 waves appeared, try as I might I couldn't get them to focus on me so I'd kill them all and the battleship I was protecting would limp away with drones on it and die before it got to the portal so I threw AA flack on my CType so he can rush to it (since he's almost as fast as a Chaser) and clear the drones off my protection target. Most of my ships are 30/70 missiles/guns & lasers, with 1 set of AntiShip missiles on each of my ships to help deal with anything that gets close (and to debuff any high dps targets). I was considering a Kation ray, but no ship gets close to me enough for me to need to slow it down. I'd like to see them buff some of the faster ships to give them a boost to a specific weapon type to make fast-small harrying ships an issue for capitol ships. Otherwise normal weapons kill em fast enough, no need to slow em down with Kation ray's.
iCloud I love this game, just wish I could bounce between iphone and ipad, but it's local content only, which means if I ever remove it I loose everything. For a game with IAP that's dangerous. I'd love my data to be on gamecenter icloud so i can just log in with any device any time and pick up where I left off.
@AriocM: Can you check which stage it was exactly? I replayed all escort missions from 51 to 60, and didn't need AA guns for any of them (would be handy for one or two, to take less damage to my ships. But I'm too lazy to constantly swap equipment ). I put the Antiship Missiles only on my fast ships, as my capital ships tend to hang back and blast stuff out of the sky before it comes close. On Battleships and Carriers I have the ordnance torpedo, that thing does a ton of damage. Plus the ordnance beam, missiles, fighters on all capitals. I started phasing out missiles quite a while ago: direct fire weapons first, and missiles as filler. With the C-Types I started experimenting a bit: I tried the ordnance torp, but that didn't work out too well. Now I run with the beam ordnance, shields, and the speedup (seeing a battleship race across the screen is fun ). And one has the Nuke for fun, another the slowdown Kation ray. Add an Antiship Missile (I prefer the 1-slot ones), one of the torps that reduce electric resistance, and as many electro weapons as I have, then whatever is left as filler. I like the new C-Types so much, I seriously consider to buy even more than the three I already have, and phase out my Cruisers and Chasers.
I just updated, but for some reason the store is broken and now I can't purchase items or ships. I checked the about and my version is still 1.0 Anyone else encounter this problem?
Everything working ok here. However, I recall this happening with other games once or twice before. Then after a day or two I could update again and things were ok again.
@freegood: Good to hear it worked out @Goodgames: With the latest update, I am getting a lot of the "ship suddenly loses or changes target" bug too. Before it was a rare occurence for me. Now it happens at least once per two stages played, and usually it affects more than one ship and frequently even more than once per ship and stage. What's also happening now is that when I try to draw a path for a ship, frequently the map slides instead. I then need to select another ship first, go back to the first one and try again. While it's just annoying but not win-threatening (usually) in singleplayer, in multiplayer this will be deadly. Please take a look at those two things and fix them as soon as you can.
@Goodgames some observations,.. -The cancel sell item option is not visible in the latest build...Once you press sell, at that point the only way out of that screen is to sell again. -can I suggest a bulk sell option with a warning if the item is blue or higher? I rarely use green items anymore - A BIG feature would be to color the ship slots I can afford to something like green or blue. You have now idea how many times I press ALL the unlockable slots to see if there are any I can afford. Some of the last slots for the biggest ships are crazy expensive. It would be nice if you capped them to a fixed number instead of paying for something like 100k on the last carrier slot. - nice to have...a more detailed plot. I think fans can help you with that,p Great job and I look forward to your updates!
