Alright I'm downloading the game right now. To anyone who has been playing a while is there any tips you can give?
Can you please define "this type of game?" I still can't comprehend what I'm doing. I can't shake the feeling that all this resource gathering is just FarmVille.
I've only been playing a few days, but perhaps you should shuttle all your materials to build your home system ( which you will never lose) and work out how you can move close to your ally's. You basically lose your outer planets when you move, but proximity is absolutely key to defense
Alright another question. How do I go back to account? I disconnected out of curiosity and now I don't know what to do :/
I beta tested this game but I'm not sure I can help other then say it classic p2w freemium gameplay here. Everything is very abstract but you tap on planets build stuff tap on other planets build more stuff tap on galaxies then planets then build more stuff maybe attack someone. The only similarity to GoF ends in the name. I as others really expected something more here but sadly there is not. But to each his own, Clash of Clans is a money printer for that company so people do like these games. If you like those games there is a fun game here but I hate them so I'm obviously biased.
Just wanted to give some congrats and some attention tomy team. United Planets not only are we first but we also reached a new milestone. The first to ever reach 2k planets.
My face when it's not Pay to win >_> buying In App Purchases only gets better the higher the level you are. Prior to, it's just about useless or not AS useful.
They're bigger than us ):< Jk they're nice. This UFP guy had a planet in a system I was in 1st, and I was just like "Can you leave please" and he did
I am going to be dating myself here, but had anyone ever played a little browser based game called "Planetarion"? After playing this all night I kind of feel like this is the same idea, but you capture planets to mine in this and you captured "roids" (short for asteroids, not hemroids) in PA. I hope this is as good as I am hoping. Just applied for some alliances, namely UFP and TA, someone accept an school gamer please and thank you!
I can't comprehend what I'm doing most of the time either, and I haven't played FarmVille or anything else like it, but I guess that is what I meant by "this type of game." I was initially intrigued by the theme and the graphics on this one (I loved GOF2) but now that I have played for a couple of days, I don't think it's for me.
UFP are good guys. They're leader, Ozzz, at the time of establishing TA was very receptive to questions from outsiders, and helpful.
What is sad is that this game is worse then other F2P out there.. I started playing Galaxy Factions few days ago.. It's really a space CoC clone but with few tweaks in mechanics like use of heroes, different behavior of walls, and also different approach to units. But it's fine even without spending a dime. I have a problem with GOFA because I cannot SEE the action, everything operates from menus which is completely unrewarding, I'm building sth and upgrading nothing really change in the landscape.(I know I know planets look different and buildings expand, but it's all kind of loose and meaning less for my gaming experience). There was an input in this discussion from someone from Fishlabs, that it was 2y of hardwork, and They're excited with the outcome. I'm sorry to say that but when you experience few hours in the game you clearly see it's empty PR bullsh*t. There's nothing exciting in terms of graphic or mechanics. No nice dopamine loops, we hate but love, no attractive actions or decisions - in CoC I can really see everything and apply lots of lots different strategies of defense and attack or waiting. There is a place for good space freemium, and it's still empty. Sorry Fishlabs, I loved GoF and you turned it into an empty franchise.
I kind of half to agree. At the very least I'd like to be able to see my carriers moving from planet to planet. And where are the jump gates? There are none visible but you can use them. More importantly though I'd like to see a battle screen that isn't just a generic movie with no basis on the actual battle that takes place. I can't enjoy the fleet of ships I developed because I can't see them battling it out. In one battle I showed up with a bunch of fighters and bombers to fight no one and yet the generic battle movie played out like it was a scene from Return of the Jedi. All the fancy graphics are of no value whatsoever and therefore not worth viewing. The only ship I can view in 3D is the carrier but I can't see it deploy any ships or move about the systems. These types of games have always been lost on me so don't hold my comments in to high regard. I loved the GoF games and really wanted this to be the game to get me into the genre but it just doesn't have enough of a coherent feel to it for me. Sorry Fishlabs.
how do you take over a planet? I keep attacking this player, and winning the battles, but he still has a foot hold on the planet. he doesnt even suffer losses anymore on the most recent attacks.
