I have the original version with Valkyrie purchased but haven't gotten around to playing it yet. When I got my iPad 2, I remembered this HD version, and looked into it, and obviously saw that Valkyrie hasn't been included yet. I just have a couple questions: Does the Valkyrie add-on add new things to the original campaign, like ships and other weapons, or just the Valkyrie campaign? Also, when is Valkyrie coming to the HD version?
Not if you have GOF2 (SD) already. After unlocking Valkyrie HD you can delete GOF2 (SD) from your device.
So essentially I just need to reinstall the SD version click the restore purchase button (or whatever it's called) for Valkyrie. Then I can unlock it for free in the HD version and I can get rid of the SD version? If so, sounds great.
Yep. That's it. Get SD again on THAT DEVICE, restore Valkyrie, and i'd suggest to TRY PLAYING a bit of Valk SD to make sure it HAS been restored properly, then go ahead and hit buy in HD, and once done, you can delete the SD version.
sorry, need to correct you here, the valkyrie HD add-on will be available in GOF2 HD. So to get your free Valkyrie HD add-on you need to Have the upcoming update of GOF2 (SD) installed on your device Have the upcoming update of GOF2 HD installed on your device Launch GOF2 HD Tap on "add-ons" in the main menu Unlock Valkyrie HD for free Cheers, Michael
It is definitely going to be release in February. We just want to make sure that we find all bugs. However, it is always tricky with a sandbox-style game and dealing with various versions of the game on different platforms and cross-platform save games... In the meantime why don't you check out our developer diary with some more screenshots Cheers, Michael
Looking forward to it. Will the second add on release for both versions at the same time, or will there be a delay between them, like Valkyrie?
Just bought got some questions How do I see or use all the ships I bought? Any good online guides I can look at?
This game is great and all but my largest complaint is the travel system. Hoy moly is it tedious having to jump from planet to planet especially if your destination is on the other side of the system and then having to do it again on your way back.
Once you get the Khador drive, you will be able to. You have to finish the game first though and then you will get the blueprint.
Spoiler Just the main storyline (prior Valkyrie) - and it's not even finish, it's about halfway through. Just progress through the story and you'll know when it happens. And yes - it is a major relief once you have it, as you can do Trading runs much easier
Right on, thanks for the info. Also, is there a certain planet to buy the "best" ship in the game or the "best" weapon in the game? Not sure if there is a best.
The Best Ship or the Best weapon is kinda subjective, that said I've been seeing several 2 Million-ish ships being sold at the High Tech planets which seem like the best I've seen so far. There are also very good weapons sold at the High Tech planets but I think the best are to be made from Blueprints (i.e. the Missile I'm using currently is from a Blueprint at the Deep Science station which you go to pretty early in the main game). I haven't explored everything yet though - and so far haven't yet seen a Blueprint for a super great gun or laser that could replace the ones being sold at the markets... might change once I explore more...
My advice is to check out the SD version thread. There, you will read walkthroughs, blueprints and even how to sell and buy stufs to get millions in return I finished the game a long time a go, but if you make an effort to read through the thread (not this thread but the regular version of GOF2), you will have the answers to you questions.
Important news from Fishlabs Forums..... Hello everybody, Unfortunately, the synchronization of save games between all iOS versions of Galaxy on Fire 2, which was about to be added with the current update, did cause a number of problems for both the SD and HD versions of the game. Right now, our developers are trying their best to find a solution for those problems and we will, of course, keep you posted as soon as there are any news. The problems caused by the new update are as follows: - In the SD version of GOF2 it seems as if all of your old save games have disappeared and it is also not possible to restore them via Open Feint. However, those save games have NOT been deleted and we will be able to restore them with the next update. Please do not delete Galaxy on Fire 2 from your device or else your old save games will indeed be lost for good. - In both versions of GOF2 (SD and HD) it is currently not possible to make in-app purchases. Hence you are neither able to make use of the new credit packs nor to unlock Valkyrie and Kaamo Club at the moment. We will surely solve this glitch with the next update as well. - In order to avoid further complications, we have removed the regular version of Galaxy on Fire 2 from the App Store for the time being. We will upload it again as soon as everything is fixed and the lost save games have been restored. We are very sorry for the inconveniences and will let you know as soon as everything works fine again. All the best, Your FISHLABS Team Thread is here http://forums.fishlabs.net/fishlabs-boards-english-20/galaxy-fire-2-124/galaxy-fire-2-hd-iphone4s-ipad2-175/4055-galaxy-fire-2-hd-patch-1-0-3-a-2.html
Yeah, the saves appear to disappear, but on the forums, the devs said they were just hidden from view and still there. They'll re appear with the next update
That explains it, I was wondering where it went. Well not me specifically as I already own it but I talked my friend into buying it and he couldn't find it. Are you planning on putting the Standard Edition on sale for $4.99 as well or just the HD?
