It doesn't just run fairly well on the 4S, it's as smooth as silk, even at HD. The graphics are utterly amazing. For me, moving from SD to HD, the latter is full of surprises. For one, the Khador Drive jump animation - gotta see it to understand what I mean. I appreciate the fact that Valkyrie HD unlocked automatically the moment I started the updated GOF2 HD and tapped add-ons, as I had GOF2 on my 4S. I can't wait for the Supernova add-on!

We put a lot of work and effort into the design of the new special effects and it's really cool to hear that it's appreciated! Could you be a bit more specific about the problems you're having with the game, tel? Usually GOF2 HD should run smoothly on the iPhone 4S. Maybe re-installing the game from scratch will do the trick for you... if not, please contact our tech and support team through Fishlabs.net and they'll help you out ASAP.
It's only really when banking hard left or right or when first leaving space station. Objects seem to jerk abit in the background when things are busy. Have done a reinstall but still the same. Big fan of this game and looking forward to nova
If I am playing on an iphone4 (original non S version) would I notice a difference between the HD and SD versions?
Well, have a look at the trailer with side-by-side footage of both versions. http://bit.ly/val-hd-trai However, we don't recommend the HD version if you dont have an iphone4 s, ipad 2 or the new ipad as the frame rate drops below 20 when you are in big battles on non-A5 powered devices. Started playing this game again after the Valkyrie Update went live... finished the original story before but didn't complete all the Gold Medals. Now, I'm working on getting them all to get the uber-cool DroidX ship before starting with the Valkyrie storyline. Hopefully the game doesn't get too easy when using that ship...
How do you upload pictures here? I have 2 outstanding differences between sd and hd sitting on my iPad. Do I need to use an external image hosting site?
As for the retina, unless they actally update it so that it's native for retina, it'll look slightly blurry on the ipad3. Anyways here's the comparison. I think I don't need to point out which one is SD and which is HD.
That happens if you're on iOS 5.1. Hopefully they'll get it fixed and out as an update soon. I can't remember that well, but I think there was a mention on their forums of an update or something optimised for the new iPad's native resolution.
Just bought the HD game few days ago. Already 10 hours into the game, and loving it, but not so much for the multitasking problem. Had to ignore the incoming texts until the save points. On a side note I got lucky when I beamed up two Wolf primary weapon very early in the game. These wolf weapons are little overpowering and costs 3 times more than any weapon in the shops. Is that normal? I'm breezing through the game easily... Also, was able to complete the R. black hole and K. Drive blueprints very early and it makes the storing and trading a breeze across the galaxies too. Now, im starting to experience stupid crashes so Im too afraid to continue the story mode at this point because i dont want to lose my save data. So all I can do is jump and jump all over the galaxies for missions till the next update...
Thanks for the feedback. Is it also possible to add a function in the options (it is an example) to synchronize the local achievements with Gamecenter achievements ? I have a lot of gold medals. All is ok with OpenFeint achievements, but in Gamecenter, I have a lot of missing achievements. I don't understand why. I'm always connected via Wifi. For example, I have Ninja Silver without Ninja Bronze, and I have others examples like that.
