Thinking of getting this for my ipad 1 and iPhone 4. good or bad idea? the HD version on non A5 devices would essential be just the non HD version of GoF2 right?
Hey guys, sorry to hear that some of you had problems downloading the game. To avoid such complications, please download GOF2 HD via iTunes and synchronize your device with your PC afterwards. If it still doesn't work for you, please get in touch and we'll see if there's another way for us to help you out. @DigitalB33R: With reduced details and graphics settings, GOF2 HD can also be played on the iPad 1 or iPhone 4. However, in such cases we can't offer any support as the game's not optimized for these devices. Especially during huge space battles with many ships involved, the frame rate will drop quite a bit if you play the HD version on older smartphones or tablets.
Awesome, thanks for the sale. There's been a serious lack of space flight sims on the PC for years now, you're showing PC developers how it should be done! Seriously this is a great game by PC standards, though I still get my butt kicked on the last level of the main storyline *yearns for Freespace, X-Wing, Wing Commander, Freelancer, Privateer franchise reboots...
Thanks for the feedback, guys. And yeah, the final mission's pretty tough, especially when your ships isn't fully equipped yet. If you haven't done so already, I'd recommend you to trade some high-value goods such as Vossk Organs, Action Figures or Rare Animals and gather enough credits to buy a Veteran. Fully armed, the Veteran's one helluva ship and well-suited to give the Voids hell!
