Ah thanks for the link! I'll pop it into a suitable post there. Such is the awesomeness of the TA forums I forget that devs might have their own.
Blueprints are used to make exclusive items you can't otherwise buy. They are found randomly scattered across space lounges.
I automatically assumed this is how it works, as it is standard faire in space simulations. I cannot imagine why a developer would NOT want to implement this feature, unless it was extremely technically challenging
I need some help from the veterans. Currently I'm no where close to having 30 million for Kaamo, but I shot down a freighter carrying 16 Buskat, and also bought 3 from a lounge after hearing it was so rare. Should I just sell these instead of having dead weight in my cargo, or are they worth keeping? Will the guy at Kaamo first take 50 Buskat first, and then I can return with 30 million later?
don't sell it, it's so rare, you'll regret it if you sell it.. to buy the station, you need 30million and 50 buskat at the same time.. the guy will not take either one first..
If the probability of finding it went up, then shouldn't they be expendable now? But anyway, both of you said to keep it, so I will. I guess I'll just need to focus on building my Rhoda now so I can get some more cargo space.
It took me 3 days of searching to find my Buskat which I had to raid a cargo ship for. So being less rare now doesn't mean they are easy to find by any means. Although if you aren't close to the 30 million I suppose you can ditch it... But it would be better to buy a larger ship and start farming cash which is much easier than to start looking for Buskat all over again
Khador Drive quest: need to collect 50 crystal from void... Keep dieing, only got a Teneta ship with 570k cash, far away to buy expensive ship, any tips?!
Try hiring at least 2x backup. And I believe that the teneta can have a turret, and an automatic turret would help major, but since you don't have the cash and I'm assuming you're not going to get that kind of money soon, try destroying all but one as I believe more don't spawn until all are destroyed. If that doesn't work, try destroying all of them as you have (I believe) about a 30 second window till more spawn. And once you hit fifty tons while mining on a rock, quit by hitting the fire button and your rock count is saved (FYI if you didn't know), then immediately make the jump back unless you can spare to get a few more. But at least 2x backup will be enough.
Okay, I need some help with the Mantis. Ever since I got it about a week ago, I have absolutely been sucking, which is odd because the Mantis has the highest armor and handling, I believe. Regardless, I've died more times on this Mantis in a week then I have with any other ship before. I have become incredibly frustrated with the Mantis, and have even considered selling down to the previous ship I had (the best Mido ship, Nyung or something). When it comes to dogfighting, I actually have to strategically hit-and-run instead of entering the fray and blowing everything up. If I don't, I get blown up by the enemies in seconds. I've never had to resort to this tactic with any other ship. Can anyone give me some advice with the Mantis? My shield is already the best in the game (the one you built with a blueprint), my armor is the best you can buy (it might not be the best since there might be a blueprint one I haven't found yet), and I use the Converge weapons that run at around $85K that have 3000km range. Sorry I can't be more specific with the names, I don't have the game in front of me right now. Also, I'm currently on the mission where I have to mine 50 Void Crystals. About how many more missions do I have to go?
Okay, so first, I don't exactly know how many missions you have left, but I believe it's like 4 or 5 before the Valkyrie storyline starts (forgive me if I'm wrong). I do know that the last main storyline mission is when you have to destroy the Void space station.
I love the save game to the cloud feature. It's kinda handy, where I play it with my phone on the train at daytime, and sync it to my ipad2 at night so I can play it at night with bigger screen. Awesome feature ever
What I don't understand though is that the Mantis has the highest armor in the game as far as the regular storyline goes. Shouldn't that make it the strongest ship I can fly, not the weakest?
H I'm sorry, I was thinking about the wrong ship. I was playing the game and saw that your ship is better than mine (the veteran). I don't know what's wrong with your ship. Maybe you should just get a new ship?
I think I'm going to wait for some more responses. Why I can fly a Betty better than the Mantis is a true mystery that I need more answers to. I have died on the Mantis over 10 times already, I have died on the Betty 0 times. And yes, I have taken Betty into the middle of fights and have escaped them all (albeit with very low health oftentimes).
