Just curious, I was thinking about starting a new game on hard difficulty, but does that wipe out the preexisting save file?
Valkyrie story line ends there, but several hidden stuff gets unlocked in the galaxy at the end of the story, which you must find.
A vossk ship with 4 primary weapon that are positioned like the mantis, 2 secondary weapon slot, 1 turret, 12 equipment.
Any of you actually bought and played this only on an iphone/ipod touch? If so, how was your experence with controls and gameplay in general? This game looks like it would be best played on an ipad (which I down own but considering). Also, on the demo I played, you can't seem to be able to control trust. There is just a "boost" that works temporarely. Is this a design decision or later on you actually can control trust (speed) so that you can turn/catch up enemy faster and more realistically?
the controls are accurate. i only own an iphone 4, and this is the best game on my phone!! trust/handling IMO just alternate how fast you can turn your ship and do a "swipe dodge"..
Yep playing on my iPod Touch 4G. Quality settings on high and controls are well placed. The steering is a bit tricky to review because of a number of different factors (difficulty, equipment, ship type, sensitivity, tilt/dpad settings. The best for me is 50% sensitivity on the virtual dpad. I assume you are referring to ship speed. No you cannot control the speed of the ship and the boosts have more of a tactical use rather than speed control.
Controls and gameplay are awesome. Played mostly on an iPhone 4 but also on my iPad 1, both are great. It would be better indeed to play on iPad, but the game is really gorgeous on a Retina display. If they enhance it for the iPad 2, though, I think that would turn into the best option. You can't really control ship speed, as other guy said boost have more of a strategic function. You'll get used to it, but it's one of the very few annoyances of a nearly perfect mobile game IMO.
VoidX Where can I get one? Where can I find this ship? I aready completed the original story but I can not found this ship. Regards
I need some advice... I picked up GoF2 almost immediately after getting my hands on the iPad 2. I loved the game and found every aspect of it to be thoroughly enjoying... until the game suddenly came to an end. And I went... huh? THAT'S IT?! After spending about 8-odd hours into the game at a medium-speed pace (doing a few side-quests here and there, mining a bit, trading, jumping from planet to planet WITHOUT the khador drive, mind you), I got to the last mission where you need to eradicate the mother ship with your 'assistant'. Took 2-3 tries, I escaped, and... game over?! So i'm kind of at a loss for words right now - I was expecting a lot more content and/or a longer story for the campaign - but it ended in what felt like a very abrupt and unexpected manner. My question is this: is there any point in CONTINUING the single player game mindlessly wandering around without any end-goal, just farming money in hopes of getting more powerful ships and/or equipment? Or should I just jump to Valkyrie (no spoilers, please)?
If you think the original story was short you are in for a suprise with the Valkyrie one With the no spoilers please comment There are a lot more things to do that are a challenge.
So should I buy valkyrie immediately and dive in, or should I spend more time tinkering around and unlocking things in GoF2? I've only unlocked PAN FYI - never bothered doing blueprints for ANYTHING else. Hehe...
I just went thru the Extreme campaign again and in your words wandered around aimlessly. So for me i unlocked everything this time around before starting the Valkyrie storyline. This way i think is more rewarding than rushing thru the story as there is a lot more to the game than just storyline The space lounges are a good place to look as you have a lot to unlock
I understand and agree to an extent but... my question is... why?! I'm still a bit peeved that I literally beat the game just when I expected things to pick up! I misjudged and probably had higher hopes, considering I paid 10 dollars for the game and thought it would have the length of Freelancer and/or Warpgate at least. I don't mind upgrading my weapons or ship provide there's a purpose behind it. I beat the game with a mediocre ship and mediocre equipment, and it feels like there's no purpose left in the main game. Had I known earlier that I was so close to the end, yes, I probably would have beefed up and spent more time trading/doing side missions. But oh well... too late for that! I think i'll dive into Valkyrie and take my own sweet time with it, keeping my fingers crossed that it doesn't end soon Thanks for your reply and opinions as well, I appreciate them.
New to this game, quick question: I went into a space lounge when it unlocked and got all the quests there, went and did one and then my quest log was empty... Went back to the space lounge assuming you can only get one quest at once and the other folk wouldn't give me the quests anymore ("I have nothing else for you") but they still don't show in my log... Shouldn't the game warn you if you accept a quest it overwrites your active one?
the game warns you about the overwriting of quest.. if you have an active quest, when you're about to accept another quest, the game'll say "your current mission will be discarded"
