Hey anyone know where to buy the classic ships and the space station with in game money? I have not gotten the add on yet
If you have missed that US$4.99 sale, it is a shame. I think on iPad, this is one of the closest PC/console gaming experiences (that depends on the generation of PC/console you have ) you can get on iOS platform.
I agree with Currymutton! I recently got an iPad and with the recent sale, I picked up the game. It has honestly been blowing me away at the quality and depth. I've been telling everyone about it. Another guy at work has an iPad. I showed him the game and he purchased it for $9.99 on the spot (the sale had already ended) and has also been enjoying it. There are parts of the game where my heart is racing. "Will I make it out safely?" And I always get excited heading to a new system and seeing new space stations. I would always get excited finding those new stations in Freelancer, too. Just to see the graphics and fly around the station. Downloading the update now!
Ok, I've finished this game 2 weeks after it came out (early adopter), bought and used almost every weapon and bought the blue ship that cost 4______ in game dollars. The thing is, I deleted the game since I have no love for achievements and ran out of things to do (got more than enough money to buy another same ship). Problem is, I'm quite interested in the new update. However, I do not wish to start the whole game again and grind all the money that I had. So question is: will there be IAP for in game cash? Or another option where the new IAP content will give new players some cash to hit the ground running? 4x games have been my all time favourite but reinvesting in the same game 2 and a half times isn't ideal for me.
I am going to buy the the DLC1, but not so soon, I still have the main story to be done. If I have no interest in a game, I don't even waste time on the thread, quality time for gaming is more important (as my signature). I am very surprised this game is placed on the same rank as Warpgate!!! Production value aside, I quit playing when I find my ship larger than the planet and I have nothing to do with the combat. Put it this way: I would rather pay double for an excellent, shorter movie, rather than being tormented by a longish, boring, silly movie which charges less. May be I am old, I find good things seldom go cheap and more important, life is better spent on things marvelous...
Lol I thought I was good at 25 million to buy the space station, but I'm still short. Now I gotta find the 50 buskats first. Where the heck were those again??? lol.
And i thought I was good with 500k . And i spent 300k on a ship (before the update) and now with 200k left , I can't do anything xD Should I start a new save on the hardest difficulty ? It'd be fun !
HELP!!! So I just bought the space station and bought a new ship to replace my current ship. It asked me if I wanted to keep it. I said keep. When I went back to my space station I can't for the life of me figure out how to switch ships!!! I can see my old ship parked in the station in the background... but how do you switch your ships?!?!?!
I don't get this either. When I bought a new ship I chose to keep the current ship and move it to my station. Now I can see my old ship in the background of the hangar but there doesn't seem to be any way of selecting it, or any mention of my previous ship at all in any of the menus. Does anyone know how to select which ship we want to fly from our space station?
Click your hanger in Shima System , then click store then pick your ship you kept, it will then give option to sell or use
I'm gonna buy by Valkyrie tonight when i get home to support Fishlabs but i ain't playing it until the iPad2 hi-def texture updates arrive .... I want to start the whole game again from the beginning and re-play through in hi-res glory. Any idea on expected release date?

you will have to collect them as museum pieces for now till fixed maybe till then if you own a iphone /ipod as well, is it possible you could use openfeint game save option to change to the ship you want on the iphone/ipod, then save then load back up on ipad ?
Yeah, I've posted the problem on the Fishlabs forum to see what they say. The only option is to click the 'sell' button which brings up 'yes' or 'no' but neither of them do anything. I'm not too concerned about collecting other ships at the moment anyway. I just tried it (without saving) to see how it works. Or doesn't, as it happens.
Thx fishlabs for this game + addon! I finnishd GOF2 a few months back and i'am glad that i kept it on my iphone. So now i bought the Addon and the personal spacestation (to support the devs). One thing that allready stands out for my in the addon is the way you can see what all the new stuff is (weapons/items). Because if you are in the hangar from a station the new stuff is marked with a little yellow plus. I think this is well done so you can see what is new in the game!! its just a small thing but good thinking from fishlabs keep up the good work
According to my GOF2 I've been playing for +22h with two more on Valkyrie. My general feeling is that enemy weapons are much stronger than before while there's barely any shield upgrade. Right now I've bought many Valkyrie goodies at Midorian system of Loma, which is packed with pirates that you can bribe. After completing the auto-turret mission I was able to purchase the same model (a cheaper one was available too) in that system. I guess it helps you to spot the closest enemy in the middle of the frenzy of battles, but the sound is quite annoying. I also equipped the Vortex, which slows time to aim at enemies. Pretty cool indeed! I read about this one on Fishlabs' blog and didn't doubt a second when I saw it at a station shop. One question that is bugging me is wether to buy the Kaamo station with real money via in-app purchase or wait to save the 30 million. I guess there is an achievement for owning your own station so... is it unlocked when you use DLC? Last thing: I'm stuck looking for Titanium core and Optics to complete a Valkyrie mission. Where can I find those???
