Universal Galaxy on Fire 2 (FISHLABS)

I too liked the 1st person view in Wing Commander. Are there any 'space' apps with that view as an option?

Anyone know if the update'll come out at like midnight GMT on wednesday night, like apps normally do? Or will it be just sometime on thursday? Either way, can't wait.

 

Updates, games and apps usually come out 11pm EST on the day before release.

 

2 very stupid questions:

1. Can star base be blown up?

2. If I have p*ssed off a fraction too much, apart from paying a guy at the lounge, is there any other way I can amend the relationship (so that I can buy their powerful ships)?

 

Either destroy ships belonging to their opposing faction (Terrans vs Vossk and Midorians vs Nivellians), or do side missions for them.

Does the new update add any more in-game achievements?

If so will the void ship disappear from Wolf-reiser station if you have unlocked it already, but haven't purchased it yet after the update comes out, due to the addition of more achievements?

 

Hey all,

Could someone please tell me what ship I should buy if I want to save up for a nice one, intend to loot more than mine and like to fight a lot of red dots?

Right now I still have Betty, I have about 300K I think, so still a long way from the expensive ships. Is there a strategy to the ship buying? Should I keep on waiting/saving for one that rules them all, or is there anything I can buy at a reasonable price?

I'd recommend upgrading whenever you can rather than saving for a good one . Think about it . With a faster ship , you get to mine more / faster . Rather than staying with one old ship for such a long way .... and you get to try new ships and everything . More exciting if you ask me .

Even if saving to say 1mil may be faster than saving 250k , buying and earning another 300k and buying etc. but tell me , what do you do after you buy that ship that costs 1 mil ? It'd just allow you to reach your goal much faster . Then what ? Find another goal or quit the game ? Exactly

 

One other factor to think about is the availability. Your "dream" ship may not show up by the time you save enough for it. "Pick the flower when it is available".

Also, as you level up, your opponents also get stronger.

 

I'm looking forward to the addon I hope I've enough space left on my device and I'll have to pick up another itunes card for it but I will definitely be buying it even if I have to delete some other stuff to fit it.

I still think this is the best all around gaming experience on IOS it deserves a lot more recognition. The only thing it's really missing is online multiplayer like freelancer had but that is probably such a big project it's probably not feasible.

Great game though still the best on my device.

 

@Sceneshifter - It may be worth holding off buying your ship until the update hits tomorrow to see what new ones are available, then going for a ship with the capability of fitting an auto-turret.

Will the update be for everyone at the same time, or stuttered releases like apps?

 

I bought the game in the sale last weekend, and I want to know if I should rush the update or it is just for people who already complete the game.

I'm not sure, but I'll be on the app store at the stroke of midnight (UK time) hoping for the best! I'm surprised how quiet Fishlabs appear to be, with a major update on the horizon. Even their own GOF2 forums are pretty dead at the moment. You would think they would be hyping the hell out of this thing round about now.
