So what drill do you have? I have the 4.0 drill with 70% handling (I think) and I'm getting better at mining but the cores are still a challenge for this old man!

Funny that this game is the first iPhone game that would really need a wiki or something...
Like best trade routes, ships, etc...
Would be nice... Unfortunately I'm not up for the job... :(

Thanks a lot. This info was hard to find. If you didn't point out that I didnt HAVE to mine to the center, I would have quit.

    Really loving it, couple questions

I'm looking for some help getting started. I've progressed in the main story enough to allow interstellar travel, but I'm having a hard time getting set up trading.

Since you start in Midos at the beginning of the game, it counts as a place to trade according to the high/low-price-tracker-thingy, but the problem is that it's cut off from the other systems, so you can't get there, and it's the highest or lowest price on NEARLY ALL the commodities I've been looking at, so the high/low-price-tracker-thingy-becomes totally useless.

Is there a way to get back to Midos? What about these "secret" systems I've heard rumors about?

Thanks in advance for the help!

P.S. I think a "Guide to Getting Started" would be a good idea for this game, if anyone feels like compiling some good advice.

I use the virtual stick. That way it's easier to play while lying down. Although one thing that kind of annoys me is how both normal flight controls and turret controls are both either inverted or standard. I prefer the flight controls to be inverted, but I find it hard to control the turret with inverted controls.

Does anyone else use the "Salvehn" ship? I've only found it once and immediately bought it because it offers great value for money - it only cost me $60k and has decent specs. It says in the description that it's a secret research ship, so I'm just wondering if anyone else has seen/bought it?

    Armour - 156
    Cargo - 110
    Primary - 2
    Secondary - 1
    Turrets - 1
    Equipment - 6
    Handling -102

    It looks awesome too.

    HI LBG,
I use the Salvehn Ship, too for a long time.
It handles like a whale compared to the betty, you you can might find a control nozzle thruster later in the story like, that will make up for it.

It´s a good ship esp when you are into mining / trading.
I mined pretty everything and made a lot of money with it.
also the good armour is good in combat but dogfight is a bit heavy.

I just traded in in for a VOSSK ship H`SOK. for combat stuff.
This is more my `trade` :D

Yeah, the handling is a bit heavy, but I don't really mind it so much when the ship is equipped with a good booster and turret. I sometimes like to boost away from my opponent and use the turret to shoot them down. It's also good for trading/mining with the big cargo storage :)

Tap the button next to the fire button which toggles between standard view, turret view and free view. Then use the joystick/accelerometer to control the turret.

Yeah I still use it. I'm saving up for a better ship though. I think maybe one of the bigger Terran ships ($1 million +). I'm at $670, 000 right now which I made purely from side missions and trading.

MY favourite (and current ship) is:

    TENETA

    Armour: 192
    Cargo: 65
    Primary: 2
    Secondary: 4
    Turrets: 1
    Equipment: 7
    Handling: 105
    Price: ~120.000

It looks kind of okay-ish, but it's a great ship otherwise. I'm saving for something better right now! :)
