Stop shouting around and learn to read. Optimized for IPhone 4 usually means retina support. But maybe they added some gfx features, too.
I can confirm it doesn't "work" on 3G, so it's either a device-specific bug they couldn't fix since THE FIRST GAME or it won't work on anything that's lower spec than 3G either. P.S.: It launches, but after you start a new game, there is a 20-30s lag to ANYTHING you do until the game registers your input (both for touch AND tilt so don't have your hopes up, you CAN'T fly in space either it's not just the stations that's broken)
This without a doubt will make up for Elite 11 not releasing in the US on time. Can't wait for US release.
well, we actually put a lot of eyecandy in there taking advantage of the extra horsepower of iphone4 and as you can read in the description it supports retina display too. However, the game detects the hardware its running on and sets the graphic quality accordingly but you can set the quality anytime in the options menu. If you have a 3G make sure gof2 has access to as much memeory as possible. Its really demanding game. Rebooting the device helps. Gof2 has been tested on iphone 3g and ipod touch 2nd gen with decent performance. Game on! Michael

Read my post, the problem's not with performance but with control-lag. Which you are aware of, since it was a bug in GOF3D ever since the 3.0 firmware update.
if anyone wants to gift this app to me or give me a promo code, I will play my brains out of it as soon as possible and make a full video review for those that are on the fence. I loved the first game, so I doubt this one will disappoint at all. I also have a 2G iTouch, so I can test it's performance and let you all know what to expect if you don't have the newer hardware.

That is true. Promocodes would still work though (Though I'm sure that Fishlabs wouldn't give those to just ANYONE and more likely to review sites.). Oh well... 2 hours to go here!
Hi Guys, I guess you are referring to the "3D animated planets", right? I just realized this might be a bit misleading here. The planets have been pre-rendered in hi-res 3D. Otherwise there won't anything but planets in the game or they would look horribly edgy. In the map the planets of the solar systems are 3d meshes though. We changed the app description accordingly.
