1 thing I always wanted in these space games is a way to form your own sqaud or fleet. Everytime I buy a new ship it forces me to sell my old one... why not keep it and hire some muscle to fly along with you ? There is nothing more epic then a sqaud under your command using ships with your own personal specs.
found on forums: You can command up to 3 wingmen at once and give them orders via the action menu --You pay them in space lounge but i didn't use them much
That sounds fantastic !!! I was wondering if you get to customize their ships as well and make them carry some of your stuff too (effectively increasing your inventory space). But anyways, I hope this comes out soon , I just bought an Itune gift card for the itouch and ipad version.
The main difference is that it's full 3D and you have control of your ship in all directions, not just on a 2D plane like in warpgate. But in the game you will be doing similar things such as taking missions, traveling between planets, trading goods, upgrading your ship etc. If you're curious, you could buy the first "Galaxy of Fire" or download the lite version for free.
Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel the video is 2 months old, but it gives you an idea of how the game will be like!

some new screenshots! from the iPad: iPhone 4 screenshots: Teaser trailer: Subscribe to the TouchArcade YouTube channel Looks darn amazing! (Screenshots from here!)
It looks awesome, though I don't hold much hope for it running well on older devices, seeing as the first one didn't either.
Mmorpg!! GoF2 should be ported over to an MMORPG!!! The game looks beautiful, and it would be awesome for PvP.
I'm sure you would, Mr. nerd Online co-op would be nice, but I'm not to keen on the MMO idea (especially after seeing what "graal" does to people )
Hi Guys, Pocketgamer dropped by our booth at gamescom to play test GoF2 on iPad. Check out their preview: "Galaxy on Fire 2 has travelled light years since it was released on mobile last year. Its been in development for iPhone and iPad for a year, during which time Fishlabs has more or less remade the game from scratch, turning a jagged space-trader designed for a screen smaller than a Post-it note into a smooth-contoured, lens-flaring extravaganza that you could easily mistake for Freelancer on PC. Great, brilliant work as always Fishlabs. Please tell me, would you ever translate your j2me version of Gladiator over to iphone? I love that game so much, i have every one of your titles on my se w995a and will do the same with my 3rd gen 32gb ipod touch without question. All the best from Australia, Luke.
Totally agree I Loved that game although every time I thought I had a good server they would dissapear and I'd have to start from sratch all over again. That game would have done really well as a MMPG but so many hours did I invest none the less.
