Thanks for the update. I, for one, really appreciate this kind of open development process. The new screenshot looks great.

so what is the deal here? Is it way far away from release or is it kind of getting close to finished but with no set date?

    To answer your questions above:

    • The file size is going to be beyond 120 meg purely game data
    • GoF2 is at Alpha state currently, release sometime in Q3
    • GoF2 will run on any iDevice with different LOD

Well, we are somewhere between Alpha and Beta. So still a lot of work ahead of us. We are targeting late Q3 but complex projects like GoF2 are full of surprises and of course we have a lot in mind that goes beyond the features that we had in the java version ;)

One thing is for sure: we will release a mission pack for GOF in summer before GoF2 comes out! We'll drop more news about that soon...

    Stay tuned!

This looks like everything I was hoping Warpgate should be. GoF2 is first on my most wanted list.

i dont know if it is to early to ask this but how is the ship/customization/galaxy size in this game compared to warpgate? Because I thought there was an amazing amount in that game, and if you can match that in GOF 2 than you guys would be millionaires

    same here

I made a thread and the dev posted saying that there will be lots of missions etc... as well as trading.

One concern i had replied with (not sure if they saw) was that GoF 1 had one review saying that the initial galaxy had all the quests, and that after completing the storyline, the rest of the galaxies had plain missions and no more compaign..

after seeing Warpgate, Im sure they can get a great idea of how to make this an EPIC space game

I loved the flying and fighting sequences in the first one but the missions did get boring after awhile.): which Is why I am glad you guys are releasing the mission pack for the first one.:) and I'm lookin forward to see what the second one is like.:) keep up the good work!:)
