No I didn’t but that’s probably because I left a review from day 1. Wonderful, can’t wait to see all those new things.
Well, with all the Suika Game trend, I got this game (it looks more my way plus it offers a few additional mechanics) a couple hours ago. Playing it is quite fun! My only gripe is pressing the "Quit" button immediately ends the game, without asking for confirmation. I pressed it by accident and, well... I lost my highest score of the night. Also, slightly minor complaint is the fact that "Shake It!" gets triggered too easily; this happened to me twice as I was trying to sit in a more comfortable position without pausing the game. But this is way less important than the "Quit" issue. Other than that, the game is lovely, both visually and audibly. Control is precise and didn't experience any undesired move that could be blamed on the game. It seems I'm late to the party, but I hope it goes on!
How long do games last? I tried a few Suika clones and sometimes games last way too long for my liking..
I think my longest run lasted for over one hour, to get about a 12K score. You can exit the app at anytime, though, and when you're back you can continue where you left off (learned that today), so you don't need to commit to a long play session if you need to do something else. Just don't hit the "Quit" button, though, as that will take you to main menu and you'll lose your score (happened to me by accident).
Thanks for your replay and our last update should solve this! Now, anytime you want to leave, there is a notification asking for validation. Other new additions: - We added a gyroscope feature where anytime you move, the deep space moves with you. - Localization with 5+ new languages, from Spanish to Simplified chinese or Japanese. - Bug fixing for iPhone and Apple Watch. Once again thank you for your support!
ahah hopefully! We are currently testing the Time Attack mode and are looking for beta-testers. If any of you are interested, leave a message here and I'll send you a link.
Since it's a public link, I'll join the beta as well to see what's in store for us (and to play it again some more, been a couple of weeks away from the initial addiction and I should be rehabilitated by now). Thanks.
My response below is for the test version for the timed attack mode. I responded on Testflight last night..the gist is: I haven't played Galaxy Mix before this and have only played a bit of one of the free similar games a little. At the moment, I like the length of timed attack mode here. The game length feels just long enough to want to play one round (or a few). Correct me if I'm wrong, it looks like players can earn extra time when completing combos? I totally missed this until I tried it again now. I remember skimming through this thread where it sounds similar to when the shake feature activates (I also can't tell and randomly shake to see if its ready). I'm guessing its the meter around the score that fills up? Its nont very obvious. Maybe either in the help section, mention the meter around the score? Or maybe replace the "planet evolution" graph with a label and meter that mentions "shake it"? I also noticed the test version's in game leaderboard is just one "board" and can't tell what mode its in. In the "global" mode, the leaderboard is empty and there's no GameCenter icon. When I touch "global" to switch to "local" the in game leaderboard sometimes shows "Failed to load " and the GameCenter icon shows up, allowing me to see the 3 different leaderboards. It seems like after each game (at least in timed mode), it'll show leaderboard for I'm guessing timed attack. Hopefully the in game leaderboard can be modified to show separate leaderboard for each mode. Overall a fun game. I'll try out the standard mode when I have more time.
Combos add time to the countdown. Although I personally feel starting at 100 is a bit too short, given the fact that good combo-ing doesn't start happening until there are a few piled up celestial bodies. I'd say 120~180 seconds would be more welcome in order to get a more rewarding score. There's a "Shake It" label that becomes active automatically when it's ready to be triggered, both for Classic and Timed mode. The board you see belongs to the last mode you played. I agree it should be easier to switch to, though, like a toggle button and a title to know for sure what scores the player sees. Also, in spanish, as reported by a friend, there's a typo for the "New Record" screen, at least in Classic Mode (attachment for reference). It should only say "¡Nuevo Récord!".
Thank you for testing! - We'll add more feedbacks for when time is given back. - Good point for mentionning the meter in the tutorial. - Good point as well for the leaderboard. It should be corrected in the next update.
Thank you for testing! - We're still working on finding the right balance time-wise, but from our playtest sessions can become quite long at 120+ seconds. Our goal is to have a short session that can expand if you are performing combos, where top players can play for 5-10 minutes if they manage positionning carefully. I'm going to rerun a test at 180 by decreasing combos to see how it impact the flow though. - Thank you for the spanish typo. I'm on it!
Maybe one option is when players touch timed mode to pop up multiple time options. Maybe one for 100seconds and one for 180 seconds. Of course can tweak for time and the number of options. Personally, at most 2 options is enough..sometimes I feel like even 100 seconds is a bit long since it takes a while to get started. Maybe idea for a new mode is a timed mode where the board is already prefilled with random planets (up to a certain level). Then survive for 100 seconds (or however long). Or a "survivor mode" where random plants keep dropping every 20 seconds or so. Anyways..random ideas for shorter game lengths.
@Ferulci I just updated the game on my iPhone 8 and it crashes immediately after launch. It doesn't get past the splash screen (Seele Games & Talking Chicken Friend).
Just updated and now I get adds. Sad when games do this. Instead of enjoying the new update I will delete it. I had no adds and was an early adopter. Now I have adds and have to pay to remove them. Also After playing one game I beat my old high score. Didn’t get any of the coins to spend. Guessing it’s grind to unlock anything. Still most upsetting is now the game has adds.
