There are equipment with lower CPU requirement but better stat. They can be obtained only from quest or random robbery. Btw, if you have equipped your ship with a SP repair kit, you should be able to handle 3 frigates at the same time. We are updating the game with better tutorial and hints. Please allow us sometime to do so.
After spending quite some time with this game, I sadly have to agree with everybody else here, that the game is very iap dependent. It has great potential but is limited by the fact that new ships can only be acquired through the use of blueprints (which by the way are one time use only) at specific planets. This coupled with the fact that credits cannot be earned through gameplay makes this game an excruciating gridfest. But then again even grinding for hours wont net you any new ships. Money is easy to come by but useless for advancing in the main story line. Hopefully the developes will address this issue and provide the players with options for earning credits through gameplay, otherwise this game would really be a waste of potential.
Does anyone know where the Principalities ship can be built? I need a stronger ship to continue the story, and finally acquired a Destroyer blueprint, but after spending money to upgrade every shipyard I can find, it seems none can build it. Also, is there any way to increase the size of your fleet? Or is 2 ships the max?
Thanks, somehow i missed that one. Didn't even need to upgrade it. Now I just need some more aluminum...
I like the game and am still playing it, but was disappointed. Having played the 1st game till the last boss - (couldn't kill the last boss no matter what i did - even with best equipment and top ships.) 1. When you pirate and loot other ships, another pirate ship appears while your trying to collect that loot almost everytime, but the 2nd system. In addition if that ship is stronger than you, you have no chance to ever get that loot because that same stronger ship is always waiting for you to try again. It seems the enemy can get multiple ships but, you get stuck w just 2.. at least let us recruit smaller ships to draw fire or damage shields.. Like different hanger sizes. Space Pirates and Zombies comes to mind in respect to that idea. 2. Blueprints, after finishing many random battles, haven't come across any yet.. 3. Controls, fighting is really hard to aim, the joystick moves too slow or too fast to track. Where are the controls from the last game, and the indicator of how close/far your target was/which direction they were coming from.. I think the new system is sad in comparison. 4. Why only 2 ships. I was really hoping for more ships, better options to control those ships, and I didn't see the option to have your ally ship attack your target in this version or maybe defend you or anything but just be a random AI. 5. Galaxy map needs a much better indicator of where the info, market, mine plants are at.. Or you should be able to buy an updated map somehow - not with IAP.. 6. Where the hell is the CPU support part..so you can equip better parts.!!! The innovative part of the last game was the strategy in using various parts.. you seem to want to expand on that, but the only way is through special equipment or IAP. 6. Those are my thoughts about the game thus far, Got Slaughted on the 3rd female pirate Boss, .. I think she has a cruiser and I need to farm for a better blueprint.. 7. Combat. If you enter combat and your in range of multiple enemies from the beginning your screwed, there is no way to move away while you wait for your ally to draw their fire .. If your in the middle of looting and an enemy comes to attack you, you can't tell if you got all the loot, $, items, blueprints, because it doesn't finishing before your pulled into the battle sequence.. seriously a year to create this, where is the refinement from the last version, where is the expansion, I don't think i even see any new systems on the map. Is there any End-Game content, special things that you can do or fight after you finish the main story-line? I might edit this as I explore the game further. Btw extensive crashing on my 3gs, but still playable.. odd it didn't crash so much on the previous title.
So, you're saying that you cannot get another ship in the game unless you use either IAP or ask your Facebook friends to waste their time sending you stuff. I don't know about you, but I ignore any and all requests for Facebook games because they're a waste of my time. You should implement a way to get credits in game or do away with the credit system entirely. It's false advertising to day that a game has 40-something ships when only 1 is available unless you either spend more money vis IAP or use Facebook.
The thing is when I use it the ship is turning too slow. So even if the wide angle helps I'm unable to maintain the lock - can't turn quick enough. I realise it's not supposed to be easy (I don't want easy!), I do appreciate the challenge and I'm not expecting to just race to the finish line destroying everything in my path with a frigate. But I find it close to impossible to win in an 1 on 1 versus another frigate! The only fights I can win are against unarmed transport ships - and only if I use the wide angle/slow turning option. I don't know, maybe I'm having a bad day, maybe I need more practice - a lot more. I just can't believe I suck so bad at this game, I thought of myself as a decent "space pilot"...
1. The aiming angle button should be used "effectively". When you are locating a target, you can choose to increase the turning. When you have targeted an enemy, you can choose to increase the aiming angle instead. 2. Install a SP repair kit and you will find that it is easy to handle even three frigates.
We are considering to increasing the loot rates (blueprint and money) and also ways to give out free credits. Hopefully that will be out in the next release.
Just sucks. IAP has been employed in a very nasty way and for me totally removes all the potential enjoyment from this title. The only positive I have right now is I only lost 99c on this. I would, however, have paid $4.99 had it been IAP-free and balanced accordingly. Terrible shame. Jamie.
Regarding 1, I thought it should be something like that, just haven't found the right balance between the two. Regarding 2, will try that. Thanks for the tips! I'll keep practicing.
*sigh* Having reached Level 36 with over 80 million in cash from grinding to get any ship after ArchAngel, I can say blueprints don't drop very often. Wouldn't mind if there was like a 10 million cash to 1 credit conversion or anything. But as it is, am probably going to wait for a way for blueprints to become available. Even if they cost in the tens of millions or hundreds of millions.
I'm sorry, but are you saying that all but one of the available ships are hidden behind IAP or FB spamming? Someone tell me I'm misreading this... DBC
You get one blueprint from a boss but the dev said there random drops and from loot but I tried for 3 hours and nothing.
I think each boss drops a blueprint, and other enemies can randomly. I got a frigate from the first boss, a transport from the second, and a destroyer from a random pirate who made the mistake of attacking me Guess maybe I got lucky on that one though.
I guess it's good I bought the original instead...even though I do remeber it being more known for graphics over gameplay.
Mind changing that to three in the next update? The original Galactic Phantasy had a maximum of 3 ships in your fleet, which felt just right. Is there any specific reason (e.g. "uses too much CPU to have 3 ships") why you reduced it to 2 for Prelude? Oh, and can we *please* get a systems overview? By that I mean an information screen (accessible from the Galaxy map, for example) that shows you what exactly is in a selected system (e.g. "Shipyard lvl 3, builds ships A and B; Market lvl 4, sells Medicine and Nanotech at prices X and Y" ). This was one of the few things I absolutely disliked about GP, and still do not like it in GPP: That I had to make extensive notes to keep track of what is where, while this is a job the game can do for me easily. And I have to agree what others wrote here about the combat system: While freeflight is nice, I preferred the original GP system, as it was way more relaxed; the new system feels just a bit too hectic for me, and that is something I don't like anymore at my old age Which is why I prefer turn-based over real-time, for example.
Thanks for your suggestion. 1. The systems overview suggested will be added in the coming release. 2. Technically, we cannot increase the max no. of ships to three, mainly because the rendering of one more ship is too heavy to certain low-end machine. We did consider it seriously during the development and finally decided to keep it to two. 3. The most significant changes in the upcoming release: - blueprint loot rate in random battle will be increased significantly. - money loot in quests and random battle will be increased as well. Actually, we have no intention to force you IAP.
