I do wish one day there'll be a game like this where once you dock at a space station it then becomes a different type of game, eg overhead view where you can go to shops/computer for missions/explore the space station etc. But this does look great, i'll be getting this later on once i've watched the NFL games Greyskull Well-Known Member Dec 13, 2009 5,587 1 38 Photographer/Social Sciences adjunct/sweet sweet l Fort Lauderdale #7 Greyskull, Oct 28, 2012 Arghh...I just bought Galactic Phantasy a few days ago (I guess that's why it was on sale) and haven't had a chance to play it. The story is very well-told, with full voiceovers. The combat I'm not too sold on, actually. I find the sensitivity on the joystick just a little too high and it can't be adjusted. Then again, I was one of the people that loved the combat of the first game at launch, so it's understandable that I'm not too fond of the new-ness. That and I forgot how to play the previous game, and there's no good combat tutorial. What I mean is - the 'energy' system returns from the other game, asking you to decide whether to shoot or engage shields, since both share the same bar. This is the part that I forgot how to do, hehe. It's also a bit of a struggle to juggle free movement on top of the combat system, now that you're not stuck on a 2D plane. That may seem like a downer, but it's really not. The game looks gorgeous, feels and sounds great, and the galaxy map travel is amazing. The combat is not to my taste though, so I can't compare it to any other games since I haven't even played GoF2 extensively. someone else might provide a better perspective than me.
