I appreciate all of the thorough answers! Do you have an approximation of when the new update will be finished? I'm guessing it will take quite a while, considering all the time, effort, and other things I have no idea about. Just wondering. Thanks a million Charlie!
Not a problem! For the next world "Electric Steel", I am hoping to have that out within the next month. For the "Mission Mode", it will likely be sometime late summer. I just need to find the time between family & the day job! I'll definetly be recruiting the active folks in this forum as testers for all future updates.
Nice game I'm enjoying this a lot. haven't managed to play a great deal as I don't get a day off until Wednesday but still a good game and it felt strange at first that I could move around the whole screen and not just horizontal
Awesome, glad you're enjoying it. I had tested version where you could only move left / right, while that stayed more true to the original, this seemed to feel right for the medium / touch screen.
It's on now. I just finished upgrading the highest fighter in tier 2. Quick question. If I get extra shields and lasers do the extra carry over if I do not use them or if I use 1 of each which is what I'd normally get?
I like the classic feel of this one. I played through the first world so far, do the enemies have more variety later on?
After each section of stages the attack patterns change as well as the bullets that they drop. There are also later on aliens that have shields for protection and become much harder to just attack and kill. The final world that's being complete now has a few totally new items that are not seen in any of the other 3 worlds. - Charlie
Extras are use or lose em unfortunately. Part of the reason is that you can change ships and not all ships can carry the same payload. There are a few other reasons (including technical) I can go into long winded detail about, but probably too boring! I will revisit this in the next version with perhaps an upgrade that allows you to keep your unused upgrades.
Bought and love it! Brings back so much memories of plunking down massive amount of quarters, lol. Great job and thank you for bringing back fond memories, lol.
Glad you're enjoying it, if you find stuff you'd like to see in future releases, I'd love to hear from you! - Charlie
Ouch. The price of the items is pretty high the. If you can't store them for each ship. Crap I lost 1200 coins lol. Well maybe you can address it later. Or perhaps lower the cost a bit? Now my master plan is in ruins. Lol time to rethink. Billy Ps- maybe after you get the game to where you want it you should think of porting it to PC. I would definitely buy this on steam. Just something to think about.
Totally!! I'd def consider porting this to steam. Perhaps pricing / how advantages are stored is something I will address in the next version! Thanks for the feedback, it helps to understand what the main frustration points are. I want some frustration, but the kind that motivates you to try harder, not the kind that make you upset. It's a fine line!!
Not bad... and then it got better when I got to better ships and more alien types. I like it. I'd prefer an option to put the powerup buttons on the left, because I move with my right hand with relative touch. That "one touch only" thing mentioned sounds like it would somewhat conflict with this idea, though... *shrug* Still, it'd be easier for me to use. Thanks for the manual; now I know how coin earning works. ...I don't hear music, except when a stage starts. There's a music option. That seems odd.
Thanks for the suggestions! I'll consider options to position power ups. The "music" option is currently just the intro music, correct, partly because I couldn't get the perfect music for the worlds, it was cut. Everything I was trying sounded annoying, in the end I leaned towards nothing vs annoying. If anyone has suggestions / favorite background music, I'm all ears. (pun slightly intended).
Just a silly note to the dev, I see this awesome 80s theme in this game, and the icon doesn't come close to it. Almost like it's from a different game. Plus it reminds me of Gemini Striker just a lil. Any chance of changing it to fit the overall aesthetic even just based on the photos? Just curious. I'll have it give this a try
Finally got the TX3 in Transmission Lost. I ended up starting the game over so I could put the game on my iPhone. I didn't mind losing all my progress. It is just as fun as it was first time around.
I get what you're saying but I really wanted the icon to pop in the app store. I'm already second guessing my choice of screenshots because a lot of the game is darker in color. I was told by the apple reps for a different games that bright colors do very well, it was my attempt to do well. Perhaps I failed? I'd love comments from others on this as well. - Charlie
