As always it's a pleasure to see a new screen shot from you guys. It's also nice to know that someone is working on something that's not a flappy, match-3, 1024-2048-4096 clone. Thank you for giving us something to look forward to.
Yeah, we're still doing our own thing, to the beat of our own drum. We've all seen a lot of stuff come and go. Some games appear and stick, build a legacy and some fall, become covered in sediment and are forgotten. Yes, if we haven't delivered one of those at least we're providing a persistent 'something to look forward to'
Pre-Alpha Touch Arcade Test Peeps V1 Okay, the time has come. We are finally at a point where we'd like to have a few people test the game. It is currently in a pre-alpha state so there are bugs, it's rough around the edges. There could be crashes and a chunk of the first mission (the only one available) is roped off...but it is certainly playable...and in our opinion, it's fun. Please PM me with your device type and UDID. We will select 2 or 3 testers through PM, sending them a testflight link soon (within a day). We will let you know as soon as we have enough testers for this, the first, round. The game is universal and should work on devices running iOS6 or above but it will run better on newer devices. We have it running on an iPad1 but there are currently some memory and framerate issues. Just saying. Thanks! Rob
Pre-Alpha Touch Arcade Test Peeps V1: Enough for Now Thanks so much for the interest in the pre-alpha but we have enough testers for the first round. We'll let you know as soon as we're ready to open the doors again! Rob
So....yeah. I'm incredibly sleepy....I'm already at my 5 coffee (Italian coffee) and I can't even type properly. Why? Because, unexpectedly, I spent almost all the night playing the game it's on top of my wishlist since forever. Wanting a game so much, for so long, usually brings disappointment when you finally play it. Expectations are always high, maybe too high...and the time passing makes all this worse. But not always. Because, let me tell you loud and clear, I was simply BLOWN AWAY from what I played....to the point I started playing the alpha at 11pm and after what it seemed a blink of an eye my watch displayed 3 am. Clearly a temporal malfunction. What can I say...I do not want to be too specific, but I was literally teleported to another weird, colorful, brutal, deeply scifi distant universe. As soon as my alarm remebered me I had to go to work, the first thing I did was launching the game to 'explore just another bit'. It's everything I hoped it could be, just better, and then some. It's like Space 1999, Star Trek TOS and all the '70 scifi book covers got mixed up in a mysterious tabletop game that is masterfully rendered between my hands (iPad and iPhone, equally awesome). The sense of mystery, danger, exploration...are GLORIOUS, as are the graphics and sounds. I won't even mention all the details and classy touches that bring back sooooo many memories from my D&D modules childhood more than 30 years ago; I won't spoil anything. But if, like me, you were following the game since the beginning and hoped it would turn out great...watch this space. Everything can happen between now and the release version...but it would really take a HUGE effort to ruin what seems already so awesome. So....I just wanted to give you a early feedback....I tripled checked with the dev if I could write some impressions (so, dear dev...if you find I was too specific let me know and I will take this down immediately). I'm not sure I can take questions (I'm sure the devs will closely monitor this thread and answer) but if I feel I'll can answer some, I'll be glad.....many here are following the game since the beginning....and after what it seemed basically FOREVER, it was just right to let everyone know there is light at the end of the tunnel. And it's really a bright, welcoming, joyful light. Now, don't hate me, but I have some scifi things to do.
Wait, there is an alpha testing going on? And I didn't know about this with not me being entered! Dammit!!
