It's always good to hear from you guys, and I'm looking forward to the new direction. I'm sure you'll get a lot of grumbling from the people who think you guys have nothing better to do than meet their every need on their schedule, but personally I say take all the time you need as long as the end product is what you want. Sure I'd love to play it now, but more important is to simply get to play at some point the game you guys truly envisioned. That will ultimately be the best experience for all of us.
>dungeon crawling, table-top styled, RPG adventure. Sounds like a day 1 purchase for me. :-D I'll definitely keep watching the thread.
new tokens Here are some of the new token designs from the game. The higher resolution is going to allow us to add a lot more detail. They're quite a bit different from what we had originally planned...but if there are swarms of enemies on the map you'll be able to choose your path through them more strategically, knowing exactly what they are at a glance.
Slide To Play has an interview posted with Gilded Skull in case anyone's interested: http://www.slidetoplay.com/story/slide-to-play-q-and-a-galactic-keep-dice-battles
Status Update for August! We thought we'd share a status update on our progress by way of some new images. The first image comes from a portion of a mission wherein you're tasked to chose a side in an armed conflict and must gain entrance to an enemy base in the middle of a warzone. We're virtually finished the map editor. It's a very malleable tool as it allows us to add new tiles and unique items to maps on the fly very easily (We're still working on the lighting (and the 'fog of war') in the game. Right now all shadow/lighting is a work in progress.). In this next image, the player enters a lab to find it crawling with mutated human/hybrid creatures. We'll keep updating you on our progress as we hit milestones!
As always it looks simply incredible. And I'm so glad the post came from you and not one of those stupid bumps complaining about the fact that the game isn't done yet. I actually had myself all set up for disappointment, and instead I got some new screenshots and an update.
Still eagerly anticipating this, and despite the lengthy delay, I can't say that my enthusiasm has diminished a single bit since the first announcements of the game. Those screenshots certainly are enough for me to Keep the faith...
Thanks for the update! Glad to see that progress is still being made, I have been anticipating this game since it was announced back in 2000 freakin 9!
Looks good. I'd take the App store lighting sheen effect off of the buttons. It obscures the images somewhat.
Maybe an option to turn the sheen on and off? They look a little dull without them. You'll also be able to zoom in more so that the portraits are more visible. Also, if you tap a token a popup is displayed showing a larger portrait of the character/enemy (and basic stats).
