Yep, it's been a while! Sorry about the lack of news, but it means we're focused and working hard! Still rounding out and adding content to GK. Also cranking on several other unannounced titles... Not much to say at the moment other than we'll have more (lots) to show very soon!
Why does Thom carry a laser sword, yet his most powerful attack is a kick? Why wouldn't it be decapitation? Wait a second, it's a roundhouse kick... he must be Chuck Norris!
Chuck Norris can not die. His beard simply detaches and finds a new host to handle the awesome power of the roundhouse kick. Also, notice Thom uses a "low" Spinning Roundhouse Kick. It's basically a kick to the nether regions. Though the placement of nether regions differ according to race, the spinning action allows him to attack them regardless of placement.
Thom does seem to have the beard... Also, opponents is spelled "oponents" in the Ashton Roundhouse box.
If he were to get one of the better critical hits, this could happen: "You lunge forward and trip. Your weapon is thrust into your foe and you pull it to the ground with you through their body! Triple DAM but you miss your next attack." Meaning that (for the critical) he rolled a 10, plus his strength = 27, times 3 = 81 plus 30% for a whopping 105 damage. With the roundhouse, he has 6-60 + 16 intelligence for a range of 22-76 damage BUT the enemy misses their next turn so he gets two turns in a row...so there's a chance he'll get more than 105 total over the course of the two turns... So as awesome as the roundhouse low-blow is, he can still probably kick more ass with the laser sword. Dude is a bearded, cyborg ninja...no matter what he does, he's a winner.
Not sure how the double post happened...but here's an image of the laser sword. The blade collapses into the handle.
I would expect no less from someone that looks like a mix of Chuck Norris and Samuel L Jackson Enough is Enough! I'm tired of all these mutha f*** Gharsos on my mutha f**** transport cruiser!
It is almost July, that's true. We've started working on another project that has put GK on a VERY limited hold for the moment. We're in a position where we have to take in other projects in order to fund our core work. Like I've said in the past, we're a small group. Galactic Keep has been in development for about a year now and there have been an avalanche of changes made to the design since it was first announced. We actually rebuilt the game from the ground up several months ago. Good things are coming. Sorry about the wait.
Fair enough.... Thanks for the insight. I'm going to be honest. Galactic Keep is really the only game I am looking forward to this summer (or at all). Please don't make us wait until Fall to get our hands on it.
