I would use it to pretend that I wasn't letting nauseous fumes out from my bowels! I would say to some unsuspecting individual: My iphone has detected that it was you that farted, do you hear that, just look here, oh and If you have to relieve yourself again, please do it in private, ok. LOL They would probably look at me SO confused.
I would use the Crazy Fart Detector, to avoid toilets in the future. It would alert me when I'm close to one of those damned iPod killers, to prevent another accident happening.
