upsidedown, the reason to put stuff in attachments is to avoid getting scooped by lurkers. Members would be able to see it.

Team, let me know if I'm being too paranoid...

Ugh, just woke up and have to go to work...seems like we're almost there! One thing I'd like to mention....I think it's an anagaram based on those locations....if you look back what Noah's first post on this clue and my reply. Worth a shot! Good luck guys!

I'm close, but I don't have time to flesh it out.

The answer is definitely an ANAGRAM.

    Mt. Rushmore (-Mt)
    Eiffel Tower
    Hollywood Bowl (-B)
    Golden Gate Bridge (-B)
    Uluru

Remove the words requested (Mt, Bowl, Bridge), leaves us with...

    R
    ET
    H
    GG
    U

Tack on the last clue (IX 2 END), 9 letters to END?

    R ET H GG U END

That's an anagram for: GG UNDER THE

    But what is it under?

    GGUNDERTHEGORGE
    GGUNDERTHEBOWL
    GGUNDERTHEGROUND
    GGUNDERTHE9
    GGUNDERTHE2
    GGUNDERTHEBRIDGE

Those all don't work, but I have a strong feeling I'm on the right path.

I gotta run, be back in a few hours!!

I think we're going in the same direction. Definitely an anagram.

I've been trying "Ayres Rock" instead of using "Uluru" which gives me a couple extra letters to work with (A R instead of U).
From this I can get the word "EARTH" among the letters. The rest is still a mystery. IX 2 END may indicate that we are to add NINETWOEND to the anagram mix.

    Hmmm.

I am almost positive the Australia site is not Uluru. You have to use the DEG MIN SEC.

Of course, I could be totally following Mr. Red Fishy...

If you look at the locations, the coordinates are right on top of the place.

    (e. g., the Bridge coords are right on the bridge at the midpoint....)

Google Maps gives the "Uluru" place as the middle of the desert.
I just call it Ayer's Rock, but nothing came out of the anagrams.

    got it!

    will edit with solution

    "Trepidoids will be victorious!!!"

The anagram did spell "EARTH" then all we needed to do was add "IX" to the ending so that the string was "GGEARTHIX"

    link: http://www.trepidoids.com//GGEARTHIX/

Thanks to everyone for all the help, especially Noah for all the legwork at the beginning :D

Lol, the "+IX 2END" was what was bothering me for awhile. There were so many different ways that could be interpreted.

It wasn't until lvillalt99 mentioned that he didn't think Uluru was correct and that he was getting EARTH as an anagram when substituting the other location that I made the connection that "+IX 2END" meant to literally add "IX" to the end...the same way we literally took "Mt" and "B" away, based on the picture.

Only one more left team...can't wait to hear from the Captain! :D
