Well, Jeep, if you are talking about your previous comment... I've found that the tangential comments are often what is important. We've gotten sidetracked quite a bit with those red herrings before. So the stream of conciousness posting often helps... That said, we should tabulate all these insights to see what sticks when the Captain can obtain that 'info disk'....

GreenLight, if you are starting the missing letter count from the post title, you may be missing an 'e' after the first 't'. Then that would change the other stuff. To the people rejoining - we are attempting to check if there is a hidden message in the post from the Captain that had missing letters. It could be a red herring, but until something shows up at ***Link removed per Stykman request*** this is all we have. Edit: Agreed Stykman, just edit your post and we are good....

Maybe the letters are a certain number off the letters they should be? For example, gsj is 3 away from dog, and ecv is 2 away from cat. ... the thing that bothers me is the letters that repeat thrice.
