Did you guys try moving the lines into the same orientation/order as the pieces that make up the face?
The pieces are inbetween the lines. So I'm using those same folds and reversing it to see if words appear
Nice one! Well, I suppose we have to post about how we found the solution. I found this thread, and it told me about a video with a crop circle and some symbols on a popular broadcasting site, and the Trepidoid invasion, so I immediately looked up the word "Trepidoid on youtube. It presented me with the said video. It had a bird and a picture of a trepidoid in it. I recognized the bird as syymbol for twitter, so I looked up "trepidoid" in twitter. It took me to twitter feed with alot of posts about how the trepidoid invasion is nigh. I notice symbols at the start of alot of the posts, so I looked at the first letter of each post, and it created a web address. "http://trepidoid.com". I went to this site, and it showed me a picture of what appeared to be pieces of a trepidoid and some white lines. Thinking that the symbols might make words if rearranged right, I tried to do it in photoshop, to no avail. Luckily, my fellow cadets assisted me by posting the completed image with the clue. I followed that clue to the url, and it told me to do this, so I have.
I knew there was punctuation in there! Looks like a collaborative effort is needed for these codes. I figured out the rotation of the message and the hidden face Karuko spliced the picture and got the hidden URL So we got the first hint down. Now we need the Captain to tell us what to do next EDIT: I got promo jacked
right now we haven't used that yet "wtblt" and the "2ggpcst" (since the link still shows the error mug)
Yep, but I mentioned that it was a collaborative effort I figured out the rotation and the face and Karuko go the jumbled URL So I'm joining in on the second hint so Karuko gets a code too.
I figured out that part as soon as I saw the image. But I have no image editor on here so I downloaded pixelmator and was fumbling around with it for the longest time. I would put the pieces together but the black areas would cover up some of what I needed I couldn't get past .com for the life of me. There's only so much you can do in your head before it gives up =( stupid brain
