Hi guys, As some of you already know, I've been working on a game that I feel is pretty unique. I wasn't going to make a thread about it until a little closer to the release date, but hearing a few speakers today at GDC has inspired me to change my mind about this. Here is a link to some of the music from the game: http://nerdtracks.com/fuzion.html Here are a couple of screens that I hope you'll find interesting! Believe it or not it's a word game... With some rpg elements to give it some some flavor I'll be posting some screens that show off the UI for text input later on in this thread.
lol I kinda expected that with the third screenshot reminding me of bookworm but the first two like an rpg-type +1 on arn's comment on a title
Well...I was told that the name might be an issue because it's vague and not catchy enough, so I was considering having it changed. It's a shame to let the logo artwork go to waste though
I like the interface, and the premise (anything combined with RPG elements is of instant interest to me). It's hard to really judge the name without much more context, though, but at the moment I'm not completely behind it. It sounds too... futuristic, maybe? for what the game appears to be. Just my initial impression, though. Sorry to criticize without any helpful suggestions.
Yup. Agreed. Fuzion sounds too futuristic. The subtitle Lands of Fate is fine though. How about change Fuzion to something more medieval?
yeah doesn't go well with the theme...title makes it seem futuristic...give it ye olde english feeling
I was lucky enough to get a chance to talk to Lou Fasulo today, and he said the same exact thing! Fuzion was only supposed to be a working title anyways, but the logo got created for it inadvertently, and other things just kinda took priority. I'd love to hear suggestions if you guys have any, although I know it's kind of hard to do that based on a few pictures.
oh yeah, to answer your question arn, yes it was the talk given by Imangi. Natalia and Keith gave a wonderful presentation, and I was able to talk to them for a little bit. They are good peeps
Hah - glad you decided to post! Game looks awesome, and the art is gorgeous. Having seen the game, I think it will be pretty addictive. Good luck with the name! That part is always so hard...
The concept of the game reminds me of Dungeon Scroll. I like the presentation, visuals, and the amount of polish so far. Keep it up.
I didnt know you were working on a game Pharmx. So your a dev huh. Thats news to me. Is this your first ever game that you are working on? The screenshots look interesting and the game concept isnt bad, seems interesting. I think that this could be a great word/rpg game. I hope that you can complete it and that it is successful!
Thanks everyone for the encouraging words! Natalia, it was one of your quotes in particular that made me decide to post...something about developers keeping their game a secret until launch, and then having their game stay a secret after launch, lol. It made me laugh, but at the same time, made me realize that I better start getting the word out now instead of procrastinating.
