Really enjoying this. Very funny and well written. The combat, exploration of different planets, mini story scenarios where you have humorous dialogue choices with rewards / consequences, sets this apart from Family Guy and Simpsons Tapped out as well. johnthree Well-Known Member Dec 11, 2013 53 1 6 #4 johnthree, Jun 28, 2017 Last edited: Jun 28, 2017 After a lot of time with Family Guy, here's a tip, so you don't get too frustrated, since they'll likely do this with Futurama as well. Where they'll likely try to milk you for $$$, is during the limited time events. In these events, if you try to get everything and unlock all the prizes and characters, you may end up broke or may ragequit. So if you instead approach these events casually and don't want to spend premium currency, just realize you may simply just unlock 50 to 70% of the limited event prizes, buildings, characters, etc. You'll still get a lot free stuff this way. You'll probably be less angry, and will have a more overall enjoyable experience if you keep this in mind, and play the events in this leisure manner. Enjoy what is there at release, and promptly forget about it. There will be minimum updates in the first 6 or so months, and none afterwards. MAA hasn't seen a story update in almost a year now 6) Did I mention the events are literally non stop? The moment one's timer ends, the next one has already started. In conclusion, even if you are die hard Futurama fan, just don't bother. GreedyCo will for sure nickel and dime you to the bone. #nomoreshards ste86uk Well-Known Member May 9, 2012 6,774 1,000 113 #8 ste86uk, Jun 29, 2017 I'll download and try but I know these devs are very greedy. If you want something similar but not as greedy trying to get everything they can from you try Disney Magic Kingdoms. The straight up pay 10 dollars and get the full game isn't panning out (Super Mario Run). The model is obviously working for TinyCo, they aren't forcing you to pay any money. But continue on with your personal vendetta by not downloading the game, you guys really showed them. As for a game review, It's no different from Simpsons Tapped Out, or Family Guy Quest for Stuff. If you enjoyed that and can handle the unobtrusive f2p elements then i'm sure you'll enjoy this little time waster. Plus it's Futurama, the nostalgia alone will keep people coming back. As long as it's done allright I don't mind throwing the occasional money at a game I like. GreedyCo's model is just plain wrong. And MAA I liked a lot at some level, mind you. I also like Futurama a lot, but I'm majorly not bothering with anything from this lot. Recently I came across some info that according to the industry, I would be cosidered a whale when spending 100 bucks a year or so. Dunno if it's true or not. On MAA you could spend 100 a week and still not get "everything". That's premium characters, costumes, crates - they do love their crates filled with crap, generators, various boosts and the like. You do the math and if this model is done right. bigghurt Well-Known Member Apr 18, 2012 203 1 18 #17 bigghurt, Jun 29, 2017 I agree with the recent posts about marvel avengers academy. It did get to be a big mess when I played it. And no a whale is not defined by someone who spends $100 a year. A whale is someone who buys out every event, a pay to play completionist. Most whales spend the max package(usually $99usd) multiple times a week. When I played dena games most of the whales were spending $1,000 a month. That's why people thought angry birds evos subscription price was high when it's really a drop in the bucket for whales. This game might have a bit more life for a while but it will break when whales start buying there way through and tiny co notices. That's what happened when they added loot boxes to maa. kellstrand Member Apr 29, 2014 22 0 0 #18 kellstrand, Jun 29, 2017 You do realize that the premium characters and buildings aren't necessary to advance in the "game" right? I'm not knocking you but i'm not jumping out of the room when i'm not able to unlock Calculon for 300 slices of pizza. Do you really think that if they charged a flat rate for a game like this that the company would make a profit? They make money from people wanting to unlock characters ahead of schedule, have a disposable income or just have a lack of patience. For every 10 people saying I'm not playing this f2p garbage there is one person making up for those 10 people not playing by spending X amount of money daily/weekly/monthly. Listen, I hear you.. but the model isn't changing anytime soon other than the addition to a subscription to access premium content. urban083 Well-Known Member Jul 21, 2011 46 0 6 #19 urban083, Jun 29, 2017 So I know that I will probably not like this game but I'll give it a try since it's futurama. To anyone who has played the game for a decent amount of time, when do the RPG type battles become unlocked? Also, I just started pretty much and I can't give fry or Amy any commands since they have to be level 2. How do i level them up if I can't order them to do anything? Kainamor Well-Known Member Dec 17, 2015 196 0 16 #20 Kainamor, Jun 29, 2017 This is one of the first f2p games I have ever played so I may not understand your questions correctly. The "rpg type battles " start in the tutorial along with leveling fry up to level 2. I had done all of that by the time the tutorial was finished. How my Fry is level 3 and I have heard no mention of giving him commands. I'm not sure what you mean by that. You tell him what to do through the goals and such. If what you mean is tell him where to walk and stuff I have not seen anything that would do that. It's all through goals so far. (You must log in or sign up to post here.)
