    Hey everyone,

Just letting people know about a game a friend made:
    Fusion

Fun little game in the style of reMoveEm.

And a little toy style app i was involved in development of:
    Liquid Pack
Home Page with video of the app in action

More of a toy then a game. Has lava lamp & a couple other liquid based toys.

    Any feedback is appreciated.

    Cheers

  2. Not too much into SameGame games but Liquid I got a few days ago. Really like it as a toy. Haven't got Koi Pond though afraid I might not like that one.

The Lava Lamp looks cool. You should be able to pull apart the lava with your fingers as an option. It would also be great to be able to change the color of the lava and the liquid to any other color. I just downloaded the app and noticed that the liquid changes color. That is cool. But maybe you can add an option that will keep it one color, and the person can choose the color. The lava needs a bit more movement as well - maybe the speed of the lava movement could be adjusted by the user, and you can use the accelerometer to change colors and/or to make the lava move when the user shakes the iPhone or iPod touch. Another idea would be to be able to change the lava lamp by providing different lava lamp designs; here are some examples of designs and colors: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lava_lamps and http://www.planetlava.com/ .

With the hot wax, it would be cool to be able to mold it into different static shapes as well so that you can then capture a snapshot of your creation!

Another cool toy would be a tie-dy type of toy that you could twist different colors (by twisting on the touchscreen with your fingers), spread out the colors by moving your finger on the touchscreen, and add different color blotches to create different tie-dye designs (see here: http://www.tiedyedshop.com/adulttshirtsx.html ). I'm not sure if this is feasible, but it would add to the groovy and 70s motif.

Another idea would be to add a plasma lamp (similar to the one you see here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plasma_lamp ) that would react when you touch the touchscreen! That would add another cool feature to the app, although I understand that it's not liquid-based!

Can you play music while the app is running? If so, you should play some cool 70s music in your video! Cheers!

Thanks for the feedback! Some good ideas there vandy1997

We thought about doing a Plasma Lamp originally but went with a liquid themed app instead.

No problem! It's funny that you had thought about doing a plasma lamp! It would be pretty cool. The issue with these types of apps is that the novelty fades. So you have to put something into it that makes people use it more than a couple of times. Being able to change the lava lamp design/color or create artwork with the wax would get people to use the app more often and show their friends the neat stuff that they could do with the app, resulting in more purchases! It's possible to play your own music while running the app, so maybe you should add that to the description. It's cool to run the app and watch the lava moving about while listening to music in the background.

    Good luck with the app!
