Great idea to unlock units/animals! Can somebody please tell me the release? I am following that thread since the beginning ... *and I want that Gem now* And by the way ... I love the Artwork!!!! ^_____^ Thanks and keep on going!
@steviebwoy Regarding control points, currently, the game has mines you can capture that increase your income per turn, which would facilitate faster unit production. I'm interested in more resource and/or control buildings as well. @Tyra The game went into beta build 3 on the 7th and the next release will probably be in a week or two. If I had to guess, this game would be released in 1-2 months; 3 if they really spend time to polish it.
Thanks for all the kind feedback, sorry for the delay in my response! Yes, Advance Wars was a huge inspiration on this game. Buildings you could capture that allowed you to build certain unit types have been talked about but at this point probably won't make it into the initial release, simply not enough time in our schedule. When campaign mode is completed, they or something similar likely will exist. However, this game is aimed to focus as much on unit interaction as on terrain interaction, so those might remain close to the exclusive property of the mobile base. As for the mix of animals - right now it is all one species per side, but we have already had some interesting discussions re: campaign story that should they get off the ground, should lead to some interesting combos Release isn't known yet, there are a few different things involved in that, the most important of which being when I can get this last bit of code finally dealth with polish can be mind-numbing at time (I've spent the last week moving around interface elements) Then the publisher does their thing, however long that takes, then the game goes live.

Note, the following are just merely my own opinions on the t-shirts; the targeted audience may actually completely disagree with some or all points. Set 00 doesn't really jell to me, the cute art style doesn't match the high spirited captions so it seems dorky as a t-shirt. Set 01, I like the best out of the bunch. Set 02 isn't bad. I'd probably rank it third. Caption on backside of second shirt in this set seems particularly weak. Set 03 is general style but I'd rank it second best.

A great question, and the answer is - small teams take a bit longer, there was really only two of us working on this project with occasional contracted support (which is insane if you think about it ). But, we pulled it off - finished the Release Candidate Monday, and now the game goes through it's marketing push and then goes live.
Thankfully at this point it is off our plate ;] The game is ready and in the publisher's hands. Now we wait and see We'll definitely post up the release date when it is official.
