Plays fine on my iPad Pro 9.7. However it is a "32 bit" app so shows the warning about slowing down your device. Normally this can be ignored but Apple is dropping support for 32 bit apps with next major iOS update so this will break it. A word of warning to any potential new purchasers out there ...
OMG if FTL dies I will cry so hard. I still play that game every week. I don't want to go without it!!
I'm keeping my iPad 2 around for exactly this reason. There are many useful apps out there especially in the music creation genre. I would imagine the dev will update if enough pressure is put on. (Edit) Good news from the FTL forum, the dev is "definitely" updating it. http://subsetgames.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=30259
No they are not. The next iOS version aka 10.3 will add a new settings menu warning users that it might not work, nothing more, nothing less. For now, there's no reason to think that FTL will suddenly stop working.
That's why I added "major". iOS 11 will not support 32 bit apps and it's not that far away. 10.2 to 10.3 is a "minor release" not a major update. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/65718/what-do-the-numbers-in-a-version-typically-represent-i-e-v1-9-0-1 http://www.macworld.co.uk/feature/iosapps/new-ios-11-release-date-uk-new-features-wwdc-2017-dates-siri-messages-facetime-3647951/
It is said that 32bit apps doesn't work anymore on ios 10.3, any chance for compatibility update for FTL?
32 bit apps work for 10.3, version 11 will kill them. As I said a couple of posts ago, the developer will be updating FTL.
Ow ok xD that's good news btw, do you know about ipad air performance on ios 10.3? Better than 10.2.1 or not?
Sorry, can't say, iPad Pro still on 10.2 here. I hear 10.3 generally gives some free storage space back though (new file system), handy for small devices.
Each time I see this come back to the top... I get all excitied, in the hope that it has had iPhone support added.... but always let down Please add iPhone+ support at least.
Dammit. I intentionally didn’t buy the game during the Christmas sale because it hasn’t been updated for years.
