Well, chances are that we'll only have the one new mode per update as it would take waaaaay too long to develop and test all the new ideas at once, and we don't want to keep everyone waiting. But that's essentially how the new menu will look, with new modes filling in the spots as time goes by.

There will also be more stuff than just new modes in the updates, but the sky is the limit when it comes to that kind of thing. And yes, we will have something new in the next update too....

Also, we need your ratings guys! Jump on iTunes and give the new update a boost if you've downloaded it today.

If you enjoy quick pick up and play games then I say go for it. There's something about slicing up fruit that always makes me want to go back and play some more and to try and obtain a higher score. :D

The game has a real polished feel to it and it really feels like the devs put their best effort into the game. Plus their constant presence here goes to show that they are listening to the customers to determine what we would like to see in future updates.

Woop woop! Lots of great new stats for Fruit Ninja, and we're rising in the charts in all European countries. Keep letting your friends know and we can keep supporting the game with updates.

Here is a great little info sheet I sent around yesterday:

    Great facts. :D

Also nice to hear about the good sales, I hope I was able to contribute to them by recommending your addictive game to everyone I know. ;)

Congratulations on the success! :D It's a great game.

One thing though... I think you guys should take the glare off of your app icon. :) I'm sure lots of people will agree that the glare, or 3D bubble effect put onto many icons looks kinda bad :p

I was absolutely blown away when we pulled down the stats, never imagined that we would see so much fruit destroyed! When we hit 1 billion fruit there will have to be some kind of celebration

And also, thanks for all the feedback, suggestions and kind words everyone. I haven't been posting in this thread very much lately, but that's only because we are so busy getting this next mega amazing update together :D Rest assured that we are checking the thread, iTunes reviews and everything we can find daily and keeping track of current problems, bugs issues and requests!

I have to tell you something

This game is the shit. It's crazy addicting. I can't stop cutting these fruits. So. Much. Awesomeness. I wasn't expecting it to be that much fun.

Can't wait till you get the update out. BTW what's in the update? Haven't been following the thread. Also I saw an itunes reviewer that asked for slow motion and I thought that would be sweet.

I recently picked this game up and it is a lot of fun. I am wondering what you could be adding in a "big update"? Is there an ETA on when we might expect it?

I will have to wait for HalfbrickPhil because Im not sure what we can and cant say just yet! What I can say (since Phil already posted that screenshot) is that we have a whole new mode called "Zen Mode". We have been spending a lot of time on Zen Mode, and I am SUPER happy with how it came out... some people have been telling us its even more addictive than Classic which is pretty sweet :D

Hopefully we will be submitting pretty soon, but its hard to say exactly when, as its such a big update it needs plenty of testing!

Be sure to stay tuned, we are REALLY excited about this update, and will be wanting to tell the whole world about it when its all locked down and ready to roll!

Thanks for your succinct analysis of the game. Honestly, hearing "this game is the shit" is some serious praise that we as gamers (as well as developers) love to hear!

The next update will have Zen mode. I can't say exactly how it will play out as yet - but there will be no bombs in this mode. Just fruit. We're putting the final touches on it now and tweaking gameplay for maximum addictiveness :)

There's also a new gameplay mechanic, which will be featured in both the original and Zen mode. No more info for now guys, but all will be revealed when the update rolls!

Here's a quick question, as there was talk about this topic a short while back - do you play with one finger or two thumbs? Or do you switch out occasionally?

I tried 2 thumbs when the update for multiple slashes first came out. Honestly I feel like my thumbs do not have the same dexterity or speed when it comes to murdering fruit. I just feel like my slices aren't as precise and I am lacking in the speed department. Index finger takes me significantly further. I think it has to do with both hands being tied to the device when using thumbs and when using a single finger you can use your whole hand/wrist/arm for total freedom of movement.

I've tried to play it with 2 thumbs. Also tried playing it upside down, in portrait mode, two fingers, and practically all the combinations possible in order to get a better. Index finger still came out to be the best performer. Still cant get 300. 296 and 297 are the best scores so far. Dont know how the hell these top scorers got such a high score :/
