more fruits from the beginning (difficulty), some powerups like slowmo, shorter pauses and bonus points for hitting several fruits with one slice and the game will be almost perfect
There's not one in Word Fu, either... but the noises really work But I guess the sounds wouldn't work anyway, because ninja's work silently Oh, 371 is my high, BTW and "Gonna Fly Now" + Fruit Ninja= WIN Wait! I just thought of something: MUSIC that gets more frantic the more Xs you have. But not cheesy countdown crap; I mean something dramatic like "The Final Countdown." Suffice it to say: this is my new favorite iDevice game...
Loving the game! Really great. I wasn't expecting any more functionality out of updates but it's nice to know that the game will keep improving. I'd also like to mention that I find the little fruit facts to be rather interesting. They give the game more character. I'd like to see more of those.
This game would probably be better with a stylus. Unfortunately, since you need something emitting heat to work with the iPod, that wouldn't work... IDEA: Heat-emitting stylus!
Really enjoying this game, however, you've used some kind of auto translator for the description (in swedish). Please don't, it's absolutely horrible and impossible to understand. Just go with english or have someone who knows swedish help you.
Dev, have you heard of the game "Blue Defense"? In that game, there's a mode where it eases you into the game for the first 4 rounds or so, before getting to what is considered "the real game". I think that something similar could be implemented into Fruit Ninja, something that skips over the usual 1-or-2 fruit throw-ups that come up at first and just get into the intense fruit slashing immediately. I don't think that the people who play the mode will consider it a loss to lose those first few "introductory" fruit.
Yep, the introductory slowness is certainly a bit boring for high score games like Fruit Ninja, Doodle Jump and Flight Control. At this stage we don't have immediate plans to change the main game - although you will see for yourself very shortly that we have a bunch of new modes coming, and there will likely be something there to satisfy the ultra hardcore players As for the bug fix update, we are still waiting in the review queue. It could come out in 2 hours or it could come out in 2 weeks. We'll keep you updated and let you know the instant it drops!
Thanks so much for being involved! It is very refreshing to see a development team so active here! It helps to know that you are working out the issues
Haven't played this in ages. Its novelty wore off extremely soon and frustration set in as I set my high score after a day with it and the following few dozen efforts I came nowhere near my best.
I've never had any problems with the hit boxes but I did have the detection issue which started to occur after the update. Deleting the app and downloading it again seemed to fix the problem though. Did you purchase the game before the update then download the update? To me that is my favorite part, trying to beat my high score just like Flight Control or Harbor Master. Don't worry though because future updates will probably have you coming back to play the game some more.
I hear ya mate, I usually love games that make me aim to play better, but not when I have a backlog of very highly rated games sitting patiently in wait! hahaha!
