To be honest, this is the new Doodle Jump for me. Very Addictive, Well Done Graphics, and the menu is interactive!
It's just a simple animated cut, but the juice streaks in the background will splatter in the direction of your swipe. Are you seriously considering something so small as a purchase factor for a $0.99 game?
Well, it may just be a simple animated cut, but it's integrated smoothly enough where it'll seem to be rendered in real-time. Also, I'm pretty sure that the way the two halves fall after they are cut are also rendered in real-time. Anyways, the point is that you probably won't be disappointed by this game's graphics.
The fruit splits the way you cut it, Horizontally, angled, or vertically. You actually feel like you're cutting the fruit, instead of swiping your finger across the screen and watching a prebuilt animation. Get the game, it's totally worth the money. And I'm loving it even more on my iPad. It's a lot of fun double pixeled.
I thought it had something to do with hitting it at the exact top of its arc. I could be wrong though. I've been trying and I can't really prove that. I did get my high score today--233. Not great, but it was my best by 50.
This. game. is. insane. i tried it on my friend's touch and was instantly hooked. i mean, if you tried to describe the game to me, i probably wouldn't even bother looking at it. But, by god, i cant stop slicing fruits now.
actually, it's not. But I can see why you made the mistake. The fruits are set to be sliced along a certain predetermined axis, but when you slice the fruit, it is cleverly and subtly rotated to match the angle of your cut. I actually studied this a little cuz it fascinated me. I noticed that the stems of the fruits would be pointing a certain direction, and they would change when I sliced the fruit. This is not however very noticeable, so it does not ruin the feel of the game at all. It actually was a very clever way to make less work for them, but make it seem really cool to us. When the fruit splits though, the way the halves fall is pretty random, so it doesn't seem like it's been predetermined. It really is an awesome game, and I can't wait for the updates that increase the sensitivity of the slashes. It's not that bad, but can get a little annoying sometimes. If anyone is on the fence on this one, seriously, get off and buy the game already. For $.99 you won't be disappointed.
Yeah legowiz I noticed that as well with the pineapple. It would be cool to be able to cut the fruit regardless of it's position.
nice game but too slow and easy at the beginning, if this game is designed for short game sessions - why not make it harder or make like in minigore? also there should be some bonuses for hitting multiple fruits with single swing.
Someone PLEASE tell me some Bruce Lee noises are coming... PLEASE! That would make an already awesome game PERFECT!
But there isn't a Bruce Lee character in the game, you are the ninja doing the fruit slashing. So make your own noises.
i dont know if this is proper game design but if u touch the screen u can just chaotically move your finger and slice all fruits if there is no bombs. It is more fruit berserker.
Leaderboards on computer? I love this game! Really got addicted! Just got a new score of 451. But, I was wondering if there's a way to view leaderboards (scores) on the computer? This actually makes me laugh every time I read it. ;P
I really, really love this game - excellent! Best score so far 289... determined to do better though for sure!
