Yep, exactly what I mean. I really hope they can pull it off. Maybe if they work hard enough and it works, this game would definitely be one of the best pick up and play games- in quality, fun and good to show off to friends.

I'd like to suggest a feature: could we have instant replays of close bomb swipes and/or the ability to post them to youtube? if it can record the microphone sounds with it would be excellent

If you have all secret achievments I only got all but 1: I got the "Wake up", "Tee Hee Hee" and "Are you (****ing) kidding me?!", I don't know what the last one is... Please tell me at least the name or add a description!

    And now to my suggestions:
    -Passion Fruit
-Coconut that breaks after 2 hits with a huge splash
    -Avocado
-Pumpkin that breaks after 3 hits with a cosmic expsosion of pumpguts!
    -OpenFeint Apple!
-Annoing orange that screams "Knife!" after a fruit get cut

Look at the awesome suggestions here, they are great

I think I suggested a pumpkin as well, but people dont really think of it as a fruit. I mean, technically it IS a fruit, there is no doubt about that, but ask someone on the street and 19/20 will say vegetable. So I dunno if I would add it if I were them!

technically, pumpkin is a squash, which I'm pretty sure is considered a vegetable, but I could be wrong

Yes, your technically wrong in the botanical sense, but its a pointless and complicated subject! Check Wikipedia if your interested enough, or better yet, dont worry about it and play more :)

grrr, just looked it up, I hate these gray areas, it has most of the properties of a squash but is technically a fruit for unknown reasons. well, since it turns out to be a fruit, put it in the game :D smashing pumpkins would be awesome!

It has seeds so it's a fruit like a tomato, cucumber or pepper

As the Sensei is saying: "The strawberry is the only fruit with its seeds on the outside..."

I like the idea of having exotic fruits, but maybe have a special "exotic" mode for them, so those that just want to stick with the generic fruits can and others can play with more exotic/tropical fruits, idk

Sorry for the late reply everyone, I've logged all your suggestions and we'll be looking at them first thing next week at work.

Here's the current situation. I consider everyone here a great friend of Halfbrick and I will always be open and honest about our development. That's the way I roll - we want to be able to give you guys everything you want out of the game!

We have submitted a performance update for Fruit Ninja which fixes the issues raised by the previous version, notably the swiping problems which were affecting some players. We wanted to get it done and out for this week so that we can finish up our second major content update and get that rolling ASAP.

Evidently it hasn't affected sales though, as we just hit #3 in the USA top paid charts. We are now #2 Australia, Canada and Germany, #3 in the USA and top ten in a whole bunch of other countries. We have the fans to thank who do such great work spreading the word!

The difficulty is right now we are dropping a bit in the ratings because of the bug issues, but I certainly hope everyone can weather the storm and hold out for the fixes. Obviously if it was up to me the update would be live already but we, like everything on the App store, are subject to the mysterious Apple QA processes, so we have no idea when that could be complete. It could be 2 hours or it could be 2 weeks.

So in the interest of helping Fruit Ninja to stay the course as the sales rise, if you haven't rated the game yet it would be greatly appreciated if you do! We hope everyone gets the right impression of Halfbrick and Fruit Ninja, but obviously not everyone sees the messages I am trying to get out there. We are here to help, ensure everyone has the best game possible and will be doing so for a long time.

Whenever I'm offline in OpenFeint, the high score leaderboards shows an "average score" option. Was that intentional?

I'm wondering, why this game is getting such a great reception.
It's sweet, but far from addicting...
I played some sessions and then deleted it.
This really feels like a game worth just a buck or less.

I thought the same at first - but as I kept on playing I got more and more hooked. The pricing seems completely right at the current spot. A nicely made game for the five minutes in between :D

I dunno if it's just me, but I can't see the total number of fruits I've cut in the leaderboards while I'm offline. I tells me I haven't submitted any score yet, but it's fine when I'm connected to wifi
